  1. One step closer... Or I can't believe Jaidi got a hattrick, who'd have thunk it!

    THE two games

Brentford 0 Saints 4 Brighton 1 Huddersfield 1 Imo. Draw at Plymouth and beat Walsall and we're up.
  3. That's why people think he can do a job playing deeper a la Mark Hughes. With little pace, but quality elsewhere, he'd be brilliant at the top of a diamond or as a deeper second striker.
  4. He was far from rubbish but imo it wasn't his best game. My initial reaction was also that Lambert shouldn't have been man of the match, but only because I thought Fonte should have got it, who was exceptional.
  5. Scum like this usually end up getting butt ****ged in prison. I hope it happens. Rivalry is a bit of banter, not violence, these idiots aren't Saints fans.
  6. That's how clotted cream gets made. Think about that when you next have a Devonshire Cream Tea.
  7. I'm not touching the milk, it could be from the left breast of HRH. I'm going to take a dump in St Georges Chapel too. (That'll teach the school for turning me down. True Story.) Anyone else noticed how much that cake looks like a vagina?
  8. I'm off to Windsor tomorrow to steal me some paintings from in t'castle. There'll be no-one there after all...
  9. No, I suck. (See what I did there...)
  10. Thankfully it's not what I think about who we keep, but who Adkins thinks we should keep. I'm a believer in big squads but it depends a) on what league we're in, b) who we sell and c) who we buy.
  11. I reckon it should be a sea of white and red, in that order.
  12. He is class, and will be class in the nPC. He's a victim of his own success from last season, where he scored 31 goals to his 19 this season, and that's what people pick up on. He's not a "tap in" type of striker, we're lucky we have Barnard for that.
  13. No Chamberlain? I can understand missing Hammond out of the good slot as his form wavers, but before his injury, and remember it was his first season, I'd have Chamberlain under the particularly good slot.
  14. I'm impressed you counted it.
  15. For me, the solid defence has been key to our success and excellent goal difference. I was going for Lallana but Fonte's nicked it recently.
  16. We're definitely going up. We're not the Saints of old that threw things away. We have a professional way of performing and a great will to win. (He says with unfounded confidence!) That said, I predict a last day decider. We'll thrash Brentford, but Huddersfield will beat Brighton. We'll draw at Plymouth so beating Walsall will clinch it. Mind you my predictions switch almost hourly, Brighton may just win us second spot THIS weekend, in which case a point at Plymouth makes us mathematically promoted!
  17. I hope we do pack the place out with Saints fans, but what are we going to call it? Dellhurst Park was witty, merging St Mary's Stadium with Griffin Park is a nightmare!
  18. To that end we could have Blackburn, with Kevin Davies. Sold for £7 million, we got him back for free a year later, although we did lose Ostenstadt in the process.
  19. I won't be running onto the pitch, but I might grab a girl's boob in celebration. (Without my missus seeing me do it of course...) Hasn't the club said they'd try to ban people that run on the pitch in the past?
  20. Well obviously it's not in league terms, but part of me reckons Huddersfield will win their last two, and we'll draw at Plymouth. So a draw in this match and a win at Walsall means five points to Huddersfield's six. A win, in my mind, is vital against Brentford, and as they have nowt to play for, I think we could get it.
  21. Harding was brilliant on Monday, he's a total pro, has a real determination to win and owns the left touchline when he plays. He's good offensively as well as defensively, and while he had the odd iffy game early in the season, he's rightfully been named in the team of the year. My favourite Saints player aside from Lallana, he has been a great signing.
  22. Brentford have arse all to play for so we should win this. A draw is useless. Brighton to do us a favour, but it could be a last day decider. Eek, I just want to sleep until May 8th!
  23. My missus is a Norwich fan, so I do follow what they're up to. When I go up to her familys' house, they're Norwich mad, except her uncle, who's a Leeds fan, so I'm relieved to get home to my Saints decorated castle! She'll be at the Walsall game with me, which makes Saints games she's seen this season a total of 4, Norwich games she's made is zero. My mission to convert her is firmly underway.
  24. My predictions: Southampton: Brentford (a) Saints will win this, Brentford, though tough opposition, have nothing to play for. Plymouth (a) A draw here IMO. Plymouth are still fighting for their lives, and will be tough opposition. Remember their position is false. Walsall (h) It depends how truthful my predictions are but we could go into this needing nothing, but if not we should win fairly easily. Win. Huddersfield : Brighton (a) I reckon they'll draw this. Brighton will still want 100 points, and it's their last game at the Withdean, but Huddersfield will fight. Brentford (h) They'll win this fairly easily IMO. So, it comes down to Huddersfield's result against Brighton. A draw for them will mean we could be up against Plymouth. (Although if we manage a draw against Plymouth as per my prediction, we'll still need a point against Walsall to be mathmatically safe, though goal difference should see us through.) Ergo, after all that, I think our superior goal difference will have a massive part to play in us getting second, unless we really do go and win all three games...
  25. Started "supporting" Saints in '89, though really only got into it around '94, so never seen a promotion, but witnessed two relegations, a cup win and a cup loss. That's about to change, I'm 99% sure we will go up in second.
