Ah, but that only works if our players are quicker than theirs. I hate to see everybody pulled back to defend a corner. I think it's better to create a space in the goal area so that the keeper can come and claim the ball. Of course, that only works if you trust your keeper to do so. Take the money, stick some in your back pocket for a rainy day and buy two or three players of proven quality at this level. Then tell any prospective buyers of the club what a wonderful youth factory we have here at Southampton.
