  2. Under the scenario that he was in an offside position, and in the eyeline of the goalkeeper, and therefore active and interfering with play. As I was driving back from the game on Sunday morning, it was being discussed on a radio program (talk sport I think) and all three presenters thought that the referee got it right. 3. Talking of officials, how many do you need to run a single VAR centre? It's difficult enough finding decent refs and linos to officiate the games, where are ask the VAR operators / officials going to come from? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  4. VAR is not some magic wand that eradicates all poor decisions from the game. It merely allows officials the chance to review various situations within the game - there is still the human factor. After looking at Charlie Austins 'goal' last week, seen it analysed on TV, I still heard various different versions as to whether it was or was not a 'goal', it's purely opinion in a lot of cases. It should clear up 'obvious' errors, I grant you, but there will still be contention within the game (and rightly so).
  5. Will 'fan power' make the rich cats see sense? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46221020 Diabolical idea from the off, hate these ****s who continually have their snout in the trough.

When is our next matchday program due, 1st December, so I very much doubt this has any legs. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  7. Disagree, sounds like a young man who has amassed a wealth of knowledge from a lot of very good football people, sucked it up like a sponge and put it into practice to become successful. Ironic that he credits us a couple of times in terms of who he would like Norwich to emulate. After Les, definitely worth a shot I think.
  8. Apologies, I should've perhaps have added one of those smiley, winkey things after my post! That said, you probably don't have to look too far on this board to find people who have lorded Jokanovic against whatever manager we've had at that particular time.

Decisive action from Fulham - perhaps we should now sack Hughes and hire Jokanovic. That's a plan.

  11. To the man in the street it will suck. To the multi-millionaires who are part and parcel of our football it is pretty much a drop in the ocean. It's not right, but the 'man in the street' and these people are worlds apart.

Interesting article from the BBC, no managers sacked at this stage of the season - not the norm: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46146946 If we are going to do it, now is the time.

  14. Big game, lose this and it's time for somebody to pull the trigger. No idea how we'll do, I brick it when we play anybody in the Premiere league these days.
  15. If you watch the goal your can see that Gabbi (who was excellent yesterday, both up front and in his defensive work) was busting a gut trying to get across to block the shot. Had Cedric shown the same desire to get closer we might have prevented the goal. Agree though - it's about having pride in keeping a clean sheet, no matter how many you might score. Three or four seasons ago I seem to remember we had the best defensive record in EUROPE after about 10 games, we had defenders who hated conceding and took it personally. As you say - players need to have more pride. On a slightly different note, well done to the crowd who stood and gave the members of HM armed forces a standing ovation as they walked around the pitch after the 2 minutes silence. Good to see so many people showing appreciation and trying to shake hands with them. Excellent touch.
  16. I do quite a few games with my son, home and away. Not STH's or even members, never have a problem getting tickets for any games these days. If you want a ticket is pretty easy to get one. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  17. Was an absolutely pointless substitution and doesn't help the lad at all. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  18. Feel for STH's, not the sort of investment they were expecting. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

  20. Hoj did give the ball away a lot today, but to be fair so did lots of other players, conditions were pretty difficult out there. Not Hojs best game but at the end he was still trying to drive people forward to get a winner. Good attitude, but not his best game today. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  21. When I watched us at Pride Park this season I thought then that we were heading for relegation, sitting in SMS this afternoon I see no reason to change that assessment. It's not lack of effort, we just have a team made up of players who are not very good. We also lack any sort of mental resolve whatsoever, in any sort of adversary, we simply wilt. 22. I went to Bradford last week to watch them, they maybe top of their league but believe me they weren't all that. We would comfortably beat them. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  23. Oh dear.
  24. Could well believe that. It was one of the last games that I can remember being at where there was a good atmosphere throughout. Fans pretty much chanted and sung throughout the game and what with the updates coming from Stoke and Swansea, the mood was really good in the Stadium. Naturally we cocked it up and let them score with the last kick of the game, but by then it didn't matter. Most of the fans stayed for the the lap of appreciation as well, so everything looked good in that snapshot. But in the bigger picture he should really have gone after that game.
  25. I think I can take lots of credit here, I booed very, very loudly at the end of the Newcastle game, and let me tell you I was planning exactly the same if we don't win on Saturday. I am hardcore when it comes to protest though.
