Even if it wasn't you can bet your bottom dollar that all questions would have been vetted prior to going on air. There is far too much muck to rake over and the new owners will not want to put anything but a positive light on the club, so there is no way the questions would be 'open house'. Shouldn't really pre-judge the owners - it will be interesting to hear what they have to say. Hopefully we (and the Pompey fans) will actually find out what their intended plans for the club are. It appears to have been a very long time from taking charge to responding to the fans and the media in general - should be interesting.

Indeed, Englishman working abroad taking advantage of thier fantastic country. Unfortunately though, as I struggle with accents from Liverpool, Newcastle and the like - listening to some over here is like hearing a completely different language sometimes...! Being slightly illiterate as well, I struggle with words that have spelling that do not follow the normal rules of pronounciation. My wife likes the Irish name for Marie, which I believe starts with a V, or something like that - totally baffling to me.

Unless he personally comes off the bench and scores a hat trick he won't be getting my vote...!

Anyone for the next round: http://news.sky.com/home/article/16072164 Very sad, but again hard to be anything but on the side of the homeowner.

Would be happy with: Burnley v Southampton - win Cardiff v Southampton - draw Southampton v Watford - win Derby v Southampton - loss Southampton v West Ham - draw Reading v Southampton - draw Southampton v Middlesbrough - draw Followed up by 2 wins over Peterborough and Cov. Obviously would like to win them all, but the bubble will burst, form will dip and injuries could play a part. So long as we maintain good momentum, things can only look good. The acid test will come when we loose 2 or 3 games in a row - how will we react, what's our bouncebackability like?

TFFT I thought it was just me - god it's good to come out ain't it....!!!!

And your reservation would be totally warranted - even with LGTL's explanation, I still have no idea how to pronounce it. (knee ave / nee ve ?)

This. Good start, but caution advised.

Whatever floats your boat I guess - but as I said - it will come across as totally arrogant to opposing supporters and I can understand why. As I said, if it was Pompey or Brighton (or any other club actually for that matter) doing it we would be the first to start handing out the stick. But whatever, each to their own - when we've got 6 games left to play and are 10 points clear, I'll consider joining in with this one.
-
Not against anybody enjoying themselves - but it's very arrogant to assume that we will finish where we currently are. This is exactly the kind of thing that opposing fans will pick up on. If we heard Brighton fans doing likewise we would probably be the first to give them some serious stick.

Totally agree - in fact, I actually have no real desire to be in the Premier league. It is probably one of the most unconmpetitive leagues going these days. Think SPL and the EPL is quickly going the same way - a boring pointless 2 horse race. At least in this league there are probably 10 - 12 teams who have serious expectations of achievement. Manchester Utd will win the Premiership, Manchester City will push them - the rest will be also rans.

Did we really, that's kind of cringeworthy.

Come back and ask again in 10 - 15 years time.

And what did you conclude. Listened to the Brum commentators - they said that Brum were pants in the first half and much stronger in the second half, a half we only managed to draw with them. That said - towards the end of the game, they basically said that this was the game that they can benchmark their own team from - I wonder what they think of the blues now. From what I heard - sounded like a very, very good performance from the lads - well happy tonight.

Appreciate that he owns nothing - however it would appear that has the owners full trust in running this particular part of their business. As such I think that he make all of the major decissions about the running of the club - I doubt that they have any operational input, apart from budgetary. Therefore - upto now - given where we were and where we now are - I believe he has little to reproach himself for.
-
If he decides to exit whilst we are a solvent, well run club, playing in the Premier League then I really cannot see why anybody would have any gripes whatsoever. Look where we were when he walked in the door! If he left tomorrow you'd have to say thanks and good luck. He won't - but you get my point?

Who exactly is 'we'...????

I thought this was a classy and subtle touch from this LUFC and England fan - perhaps you should follow suit....

Yeah, I remember seeing him as well - have to confess watching the JK show that he was on as well - complete and utter plonker. Whatever posesses people to do such stupid things. In the mid 70's I thought it would be real cool to wear flared trousers, with a high waistband with pockets on the side of the thighs topped off with platform shoes and a shirt collar the size of concords nose. But I knew that I wouldn't be seen dead wearing that get up 10 years on, or 20, or 30, or 40..... Some people....

She lied. She admitted some time afterwards that she had not fallen asleep. Prior to this confession the 'artist' had also volunteered to donate 50% of the cost to have the stars removed. However, after she came clean - he withdrew his offer.
