  1. Horrible will do then. No, I take your point. I do miss it, it was special and thinking back, yes, there are plenty of other grounds out there far worse. Luton was a particular "highlight" from personal experience. But anyway, like I said, I didn't hate the Dell - after all, it was our dilapidated fortress
  2. Try typing into your old laptop: 192.168.1.1 username: virgin password: password Then go to > wireless settings > pre-shared key That should be what you're looking for, let me know how you get on!
  3. Ah ha ok... and the router type? Netgear, Belkin?
  4. This is always an interesting subject. IIRC, Warrington and St Helen's also have towns which could sustain fairly sizeable football clubs. If it were not for egg chasing.
  5. Hmmmm.... whose the internet connection with? Have you checked on your router for the key and done all the other stuff like caps lock/case sensitive etc?
  6. Any chance we could do something like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xew50XrbOLU&feature=player_embedded
  7. Oh yeah, 7.30 KO's! In fact, had we have kicked off a little later, I might have made that Leeds game on time! My taxi didn't show up that evening so I had to order another, which I insisted, as a rather bolshy 18-year-old, that it was free... which they agreed to. Despite the result, I did feel a sense of achievement with that. I think that's also the night that an Argentine striker called Cordone played for Newcastle and Sunderland won 2-1 at St.James in the pouring rain.. if my memory serves me correctly!?
  8. Thanks... I guess I had a lot of time on my hands! I know I intended to write more but I just got bored, I think. Still, it appears the material keeps coming so I may revisit it again in the future!
  9. Ah, found memories. Just reminiscing now and remembering how, quite frankly, disgusting and horrible the ground was. But it was our horrible, disgusting ground and I always felt just a tad more confident for home games at The Dell than I've ever been since we've been at SMS. In some respects, when we battled relegation for so many seasons during the 90's, I felt as if we were almost invincible as long as we stayed there. I guess we were Anyway, no particularly fond memory has sprung up immediately but I do remember an evening game vs Leeds (Michael Bridges hattrick) and Mark Hughes "scoring" with a bullet volley (I think) which smashed through the net and into the advertising hoardings. Still annoys me now that we never got a goal for that and not much was ever made of it afterwards!
  10. OK, didn't see that. However - I don't think we're exactly laughing at what they're doing, more what site they're featured on..
  11. For a skate, you're a right laugh!
  12. Lol at all the arrogant comments on there

  15. Well, I've found a few of my previous efforts that I thought I'd lost somewhere in the 796 pages of this thread. Still gives me a chuckle, and I hope it does you too - enjoy; And of course, a couple of pics of the world's best fans travelling away; Sunderland Wigan "Blue Army!"
  16. Oh, how I've missed this thread! Just caught up now, fantastic.
  17. Cash please... Brown is ****e (and has been ****e for about 3-4 years, like Wayne Bridge) and Obertan is dreadful. It'll just be like having N'Guessan back, but with quadruple wages
  18. Another favourite with a scowl to melt your pants.
  19. Or.... maybe, maybe, it's an employee or contractor safeguarding the name? Irrespective though - LOLZ.

  23. No probs! I'm glad to share it.... after all, I have a really poor attention-span on the 'net and tend flick between sites after 1-2 minutes but after seeing that, I was mesmerised... it was 8 minutes I didn't mind losing and never getting back
