The original quote was "goals win games. defences win championships"

Thanks for the PM, its good to know which ones they are.

Oh please, what shyte. If they didnt have that sort of money they would spend thier time looking at players who they could afford and thought that would improve the side. This isnt football manager 12, its a multi million pound business and run by intelligent professional people. Do you really think they turn up in the morining and say " what shall we do today, i know lets fax a £50mill bid in for rooney." The bids are the final stages of a year of scouts looking a a multitude of players, talking to agents about values / wages etc.

**** me you dont' half bang on and and on about the same points. Each new bone of contention that you cling to then gets repeated about a 100 times until you drive everyone to the point of suicide. Im not saying I dont agree with some of your points but is it really necessary to keep forcing it down our throats. Surely you know that you get to the point that noone actually reads your posts or takes them seriously and concentrates on abusing you?

of all the complete bolox you write i think this tops it all. you sir are a drama queen of the highest order.

kev bond says this kid is technically excellent but gets brushed off the ball a bit easily. he reckons he is a great finisher and if we create chances he will score goals. described him like lallana with a decent finish on him. sounds like he is going to be more than useful.

where are all the trolls when a positive thread is running? dalek hypo you seem quiet?

why is it a disgrace? clearly noone watches football outside the premier league.

sdr is getting a lot of stick here for what was ultimately one touch that was slightlyntoo heavy at the end of the game. ok we could have scored but it wasnt be. ineterestingly Guly (who i thought had a decnt game) has taken no stick at all for his complete in ability to get a decent chance in the air on target with his head. i have counted at least 4 opportunities in the last couple of home games that he could have tested the keepe but put it over or wide. yest sdr is getting grief one poor decision.

The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..
wild-saint replied to SB's topic in The Saints
a striker with some pace to play off the shoulder and pace wide right are what i think we need particularly away. whilst i like billy sharp im not sure he is the right man up front. as for wide right i was really impressed with phillips again yesterday. decent touch, great engine/work rate but importantly he has pace and is very direct. -

Saints "do not have a massive pot of cash"

what i would like to know is how come this to-sser is allowed to post the same ****** time and time again. its painful seeing the same repetitive slant on his one view and clearly is designed to wind folk up. im sure if he banged on in person to most of the posters on this board he would spend most of his time eating through a straw. i propose a new rule where if a poster hits a fixed number people (say circa 100) adding them to the ignore list then they get banned for life. -
should we go all out to get nicky mayard in january ?
wild-saint replied to killer fan's topic in The Saints
this +1 -
This is an interesting view. I had this discussion in the pub before and after the game. Personally im not convinced that barnard has what it takes to be anything more than average at this level. His touch was truely awful last night verging on pub league. Lack of fitness due to his length of time injured but a lack of touch is not excusable. He may have a lack of games but he has been training so his touch should be pretty much there. Although im sure he will get some goals in this league for sure. I would like to see a forward with lots of pace and potnetial for the future to come in and I would like someone that can come in and challenge for a starting postion at right mid that has a little pace about him. De ridder has potential but not sure he is a starter at this point.

Im sure he had some words with adkins during the match and wasnt happy then he was hauled off. Looked right fooked off at the end. Anyone else spot that?

Does anyone see the point/enjoy goal music ?
wild-saint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
So what. They point it our because they are ****ed off that they have conceded a goal. Losing teams fans point ot lots of things to put down the club / fans that have just beat the such as........... thats the worst we have ever played. saints arent anythign special the bubble will burst. Our defenders wer crap not that it was a cracking goal. **** ground, **** fans, **** whatever etc etc etc/. goal music is irellevant when we score. play it dont play it i couldnt give a toss witehr way -
Apparently opened talks over permanant Hooiveld deal
wild-saint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
i agree but it could be argued that 3/4 top players coming in to the side could be classed as major surgery (25 - 35% new side). Lets be honest top players coming in are unlikely to want to be bench warmers. -

wild-saint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
I think you will find that around £15k is the correct amount for these players. Without revealing exactly who he spoke to a Close friend had an hour long conversation on all things financial with a key member of the saints management team. It was all recognised that major surgery would be requireded on the team should we get promoted this year if we are to compete ( not really a revelation i guess). The general tone of covnersation around the ML family continuing to support would the club would revolve around NCs continued involvement. -
lallana in for milner in that team would certainly allowed some balls forward that might have stuck allowing the rest of the midfield to get forward in support. Most of the game as soon pass was played into a wide position it was lost. a bit tongue in cheek maybe but i dont think he would of looked out pf place tonight

please please please, someone tell me he has a good chance of doing some time if he gets found guilty. saints promotion to the Prem and arry getting buggered in nick. what a year 2012 could be
