  1. Interestin to see wotte sat in the crowd today.
  2. He only drinks when he's driving
  3. The last *****ing skate to manage the saints got us relegated and in this mess and i will heckle the donkey at every game if he gets the job. no to the drunk skate.
  4. Why shouldnt women be allowed into football stadiums? FFS Every clubs needs cheerleaders and someone to serve the beer lol
  5. and how many people will buy a season ticket now because they can take thier kid along for pretty much fook all. I spent 390 on a ST last season plus my 6yr old went to around 15 games at £10 a time so overall that worked out at £540 against £350 this season. Bargain. I think there will be a rush to renew and then next week a high profile manager will be announced and maybe a decent payer or two and then there will be a second rush.
  6. Well at least all the usual suspects will have something to moan and whine about.
  7. Oh come on all you drama queens. How can anyone say they would prefer to have no team to support next season over a team in league one owned by Lowe. Talk about cut your nose off to spite your face. I agree with NickG anyone who prefers the club to fold clearly doesnt feel the same feelings of pain I would feel if 35 years of supporting saints came to an abrupt end. It would be like a good friend dying.
  8. I say Southhampton 2009 FC. If it went ala AFC wimbledon then we would need to start in The Rymans Division one. Essesntailly that is League 8. (with premier league being 1). Pheonix from the flames stuff IMO. It would be great if we could take 5000 to Godalming FC away first game of the season. What logistical nightmare we could create for wanckers that run this game.
  9. your right of course but at least its something to cling to today rather than radio silence. God im ****ed off
  10. But why would Forest spend a whole bunch of money when at the end of the week we go bust.
  11. I doubt it somehow. who in thier right mind (in a credit crunch) is going to loan a whole bunch of money against a range of assests that are essntially worthless (stadium with no club) against a business that has already failed once. Borrowed money is not going to be available for football as its too high a risk.
  12. personally I couldnt care if lowe came an bought the club right now. The fact is after nearly 90 days we havent managed to find a buyer. We are 5.5 days away from not having a team to watch. Its getting serious and i want to watch saints next season whoever owns us. In addition we know next to nothing about any of the bids so how can we make an formed choice. Im just praying for a buyer, any buyer.
  13. and how much do you think he will get piecemeal if the club folds? the players can walk for free in 2 weeks - £0 ground with no club is pretty much unsellable - £0 - £3mill maybe jacksons farm - £1mil so any offer over £4mill + add ons for promotion is a deal surely?
  14. Fry is hardly going to stand in front of a camera and say " yes your right we have 7 days to get this club sold otherwise its game over so please someone offer me something / anything." The price will now start to drop IMO as Fry gets desparate to do a deal. if he doesnt manage to get a sale he will get no further business from barclays / aviva in a recession. I think it will go to the wire and he will accept a lower price.
  15. And if the stay away fans decided to support the club in its hour of need we could have 32,000 x £300 = £9.6million job done. This could be done easily by setting up an escrow account with the administrator and if the fans failed to respond the money is returned. surely 10million would allow us to see out th season?
  16. TL seemed to be on here al the time giving updates (sometimes in the middle of the night) but nw we are getting radio silence when we most need some updates. On the other hand if they have no money, who the fook is paying for the lawyers etc to get them this far?
  17. i thuight he meant marc jackson
  18. lets hope he is close enough to the detail
  19. Here is the latest that I have heard as of this morning. Pinnacle will happen regardless of whether they resolve the issues with the league First choice manager is shearer. However he is still talking to newcastle so may not happen. Money to spend this season. The reason they want a big name manager is to get bums on seats and attract decent players. The players have been told they will be paid (not sure whether that means tomorrow though) Source - Horse mouth
  20. I heard Fry took delivery of a brand spanking new Bentley convertible yesterday. Nice to see where all the money goes I guess.
  21. Financial institution in reaping what it sows shocker. Serves them right IMO
  22. ssn hsve just reported that the FL will not back down on thier decision. Pinnacle must agree to not take legal action if they are to be accepted into the league. back to the drawing board then
  23. IMO I think on Monday the FL will all meet up after taking legal advice and back down. There is a set of criteria that needs to be met by any new company taking control of a football club (that much we know with the fit & proper persons test). If we meet that criteria and they are actually as reported only approving the takeover if we sign away our right to appeal then that is a case for pinnacle to sue. If pinnacle decide not to sue and walk away then surely the administrator (on behalf of the creditors) could sue for loss of a sale to the tune of £15 million. Either way the FA are in a lose lose situation. if they were so adamant that they are right then why the need for an emergency meeting on monday? They are running scared and trying to bluff there way through. No doubt they will be frantically seeking legal advice over the weekend. Personally I think it will be resolved.
  24. Im hearing that it is very unlikely that he will come.
  25. My money is an announcement tomorrow that the deal is yet to be completed and more time is needed. Whilst keegan has indeed talked to MLT it is very unlikely that he will take the job.
