  1. I don't know if the comment about us having the only big accepted was on the Saints official twitter feed earlier and then removed, or was never there at all, but it's definitely still there on Jordan Sibley's twitter feed. http://twitter.com/#!/jordansibley
  2. I didn't move it because it was a lighthearted amusing post, I moved it because it looked like we'd signed someone from the title. That fact alone could have started arguments, so I stopped them before they started. It's still there to talk about if someone wants to, but it's exactly where it deserves to be.
  3. Or alternatively, all the other clubs that have been outspending us beyond their means won't be able to any more and we'll have a better shot of attracting players with our excellent facilities and being able to afford bigger wages than most in this division.
  4. Dune, if you want to watch a more historically accurate version, why not just watch the original? This is, after all, just entertainment based on a historical event. The records and history of the original events won't be changed, and while people might mistakenly believe something that wasn't true because of a film, that's nothing new! (For a film that hangs several lampshades on this and a brightly coloured hat, watch Churchill: The Hollywood Years). People learning history won't suddenly change what they're learning because of a historically innaccurate film, and in fact if it is used to help teach, innaccuracies are only highlighted by the film, and in this age of limitless communication and information, the truth is out there for people that want to look for it, or to present in any argument that ensues in the event that someone's trying to use a film as historical fact... If someone's not arguing about it, and not learning about it, does it really matter that they might believe an innaccurate version of events that much?
  5. I'd pick this one. Looks fantastic.
  6. It'll really get going on 1st July, as that's when most players' contracts run out.
  7. It starts on 0 before the thread is started. Post #1 is the first post, and adds up to 1 post. Post #10 is the tenth post, and adds up to 10 posts. Post #40,000 is the fourty thousandth post, and adds up to 40,000 posts. Yours was the 40,000 reply though.
  8. Not likely, but possible (maybe?), Robbie Keane.
  9. Heh, I realise how it sounds, and I realise it's the case for virtually every driver that's won the world title. I guess my doubt over whether he deserved it comes from the controversy over the Brawn GP car, whether it was breaking the rules etc. Don't get me wrong, Button is my favourite driver out there, I'm just happy to see that his driving ability is up there with the very best. (Ok, we already knew that, he's an F1 driver, just getting a drive is special, but this was something special above that)
  10. And all of that done in less than 1/7 of the time it's taken for Duke Nukem Forever to be released.
  11. What an epic race, probably the best I've ever watched. I'm absolutely loving this season I have to admit I've always had a nagging doubt in the back of my mind over whether Jenson deserved his world title, just because his car was so much quicker than everyone elses. This race though, seeing a driver go from the back, not in the quickest car, to win down to his sheer ability in those driving conditions... Has anyone ever had a better win than that? All those nagging doubts have well and truly gone now.
  12. Beyond putting every name into the send box, no, the forum doesn't have this functionality. Not at mod level or below anyway, unless you count starting a thread as sending a message to everyone. Possibly at admin level, but I can't answer that one.
  13. As unlikely as that sounds... It still seems more plausible to me than anyone thinking Portsmouth is a good investment at the moment.
  14. Tailor your CV to each job you apply for. Make sure relevant skills, training, education and experience are highlighted on the first page.
  15. Nice little insight as to how other clubs see us now as well there. We'll see a lot more stories like this over the next few months, but I don't think he's got a chance of moving with 2 years still on his contract.
  16. It was sickening to watch. I see that four of them have been arrested now... throw the book at em.
  17. Title changed for Mark's safety...
  18. I wonder if they own the stadium or the land around it... The stadium and the club were somewhat seperated when the default to Chanrai happened, and I'm betting Gaydamak still owns the land around it.
  19. Blimey, this thread is on topic for once! I suspect they're better off now than they have been for months, it'll be interesting to see whether their new owners are actually any good though.
  20. No, it wasn't, but the world's biggest Aircraft Carrier was in Stokes Bay. Maybe the USA are going to buy them!
  21. Well that actually got interesting in the 2nd half. Now to watch the last day of cricket which is also somehow becoming interesting despite losing most of the time to rain...
  22. Cracking game now! Would almost put Reading as favourites to go and win now.
  23. don't forget HCDAJFU
  24. Because then it may as well be a song about Antony Pulis. This should have been our song for Pulis... if he'd ever actually played for us, that is.
  25. It took an absolutely incredible run for us to avoid that... And I am so incredibly thankful we managed it. See that apparently there was fighting/missile throwing among the Hudds fans after the match.
