We were dross in Europe. Again. Completely embarrassed ourselves not getting out of that group. Proven by the thrashings of Hapoel and Sparta today. Have no idea what Puel's brief was on the Europa League and still have no idea who carries the can for it, but as a fan I was, and still am, mightily annoyed by the pathetic displays and early elimination. For us, European qualification is a big deal and we really should have had a proper go. Swansea and Fulham both put us to shame.

Gabbiadini seems to be having a bit of an impact. Nice win, though didn't get to see it all as it as wasn't available in Oz unless you watched it live. And staying up to watch Saints live has been pretty much impossible with the Mogadon that's been served up for most of the season. watched a three minute highlights package and pleased we got the job done. The way Puel sets us up to play defensively and not get support forward is because he is absolutely terrified of the counter attack. Players improve when they get consistent game time. Romeu and Yoshi have been playing more regularly, and in Yoshi's case, consistently recently. This is why rotation doesn't work.
