Looking at the final table the key numbers are QPR with 88pts and Swansea in third with 80pt. From the position we are in going by those numbers we need 58pts for top and 50pts to be runners up! With 32 games to go that is an average of 8pts every 5 games for us to maintain to be runners up and 10pts every 5 games to be Champions!! That is if the league reflects the same pattern as last year which it could well do with so many strong teams taking points off each other!

100% agree but if he was free from injury he would be starting in the Prem not this league!!

Forgot how bias the Evening Standard is to Chelsea etc, the blind bit was reported on the back page on Monday. I think if guilty it should be the end of his England career and an example made of him. I don't think he should be banned for calling Anton a "blind ****" as that will cause a lot more people to get bans more often. Heat of the moment swearing between players should be expected especially when the pressure in the game is high, as soon as a racial element comes into it then straight red card and ban.

Not sticking up for Terry but say blind and black into the mirror and try and tell the difference in lip movement!

I think the 6-1 raping the week before may have influenced the decision as did Fernandes collecting French national team autographs in the first half!!

Very quick whistle from the ref there no thought for an advantage, also think that Almunia's keeping position meant that he heard it and stopped playing (if not then Arsenal are well rid!!) Also it is amazing how different the picture you create from the radio commentary and what actually happens differs, having watched the highlights on the Saints Player and remembering the key points in commentary, it made the Baldock chance seem like a one on one and the De Ridder half chance lob seem like a sure thing.

I think this a completely subjective area, after Cardiff I said we could do with three players in through the spine of the team, but that was mainly due to the poor performance throughout the team. It was the worst I have seen Connolly play and the midfield lacked something from previous games (this could possibly be Hammond!!) Maybe I was a little harsh on Jos as well as I felt that between him and Fonte no one was taking control! Still think we need a a pacy forward to exploit some of the high lines teams use to contain Lallana and Lambert, although Guly and Chaplow are great at timing runs in the box. I think if we do loan players in it will only be to improve on a good squad to take it to another level

Advice on the laws of the game from Match officials
Ekelund24 replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Lounge
If the defender can touch the ball but doesn't in this situation it is technically not obstruction. I would argue that he is playing the ball without touching it, by "seeing it out" I can totally see your point as well though as it is frustrating as a professional footballer should be able to turn it around! Sometime the attacking player doesn't do himself any favours by trying to get the ball by following the defender, surely it is easier to go round the side?! IF the defender can't touch the ball then I agree a free kick should be awarded -

I would hope this would pick up any long-term issues with his ankle!!!!

OH and equal for me, Wallace hit it true but not as powerful, Delap's is powerful but off the shin :-)

Give him video of the game and finally he might admit that I gave him his second goal instead of moaning that he had to stretch for the ball!!!!!!

What time was that as I saw him on the Pitch at half time at the Charity Shield coaching a penalty shoot out for that **** Sky 1 sports quiz!! He didn't take a penalty though!! John Bishop was popular in front of the crowd!!! I cheered Le Tiss not sure he could hear me though!

I think there is a fair chance of this as they will be finished by the time we start :-)

Malkie MacKay - West Ham, Norwich and Watford!! -
He had a shocker for Villa the season before, think he missed about 10 chances, couldn't hit water from a boat!! 12 months later he was on fire and was our best player
-
I think he would be a great addition to the squad, since his "problems" he has knuckled down worked hard and not been in trouble since (I think) He is still in my opinion one of the best midfielders at timing runs into the box

Ali must've started around the 13 stone mark and ended around the 15/16 mark, I think Henry Cooper never went above 14 stone in the heavy weight division. Foreman would've been bigger especially at the end of his second stint as champ!! A classic example is Evander Holyfield who was a natural Cruiserweight but fought and won the heavyweight title

Opinion Poll: The song that Saints currently come in to?
Ekelund24 replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
If they dress up in the "It's a Knockout" costumes, they may as well come out to the "It's a Knockout" theme with Stuart Hall laughing and quoting random Shakesphere etc -
I think it is where Ken Monkou is from?!?
