For those who didn't notice Gabby was dead on his feet.... To have left him on the pitch that tired would have risked serious injury. The decision to take him off was 100% correct. Watch the game and not the emotion......
-
First of all greatest of respect to Puel..... However there is one very 'Duff Tool' he continues to pick when even Gazza would be an improvement but the new fella needs to be given a go now.....
-
Hardly 'knee jerk' he's been crap all season!
-
Who knows but the team are certainly carrying him!

He was knackered for Gods sake !!! Could you not see that??????

Saints V Man United - EFL Cup Final Match Thread

Brilliant display but omg Forster has to be dropped - abysmal goalkeeper -
Either you live a very sheltered life or you are prone to rather large scale exaggeration ...... Maybe a bit of both.... In any case the last six words of the second sentence are to put it mildly complete rubbish.

15m Pmsl at that valuation ....

Can't really understand the obsession with getting rid of Long...

How much do you hate Man Utd and their fans?
captainchris replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Saints
Got mugged by four Utd fans at knifepoint at the cup final in 76... I don't 'hate' them .... I have a slight dislike of Liverpool fans going on and on about our ex players and how they can't cope witnout them yet we are supposed to just suck it up! Makes me wonder if they are a bit - well - you know .... :-) -
Yes it is .....

'Back to goal' centre forwards are history nowadays which is why Pelle had so many poor games. Easy to mark and generally too slow to catch up with play and arrive in the box when the ball comes in.
-
A naive load of Hogwash indeed....
-
Well so special and made even more special by beating Liverhampton who mosned about a ball that hit someone's shoulder, a completely fair tackle in the pen area, the errrr 'wind' and the fact they didn't have Mane.. Well neither did we !!!!!! Next excuse please !!!! Poor losers

Liverpool vs Saints - EFL Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg - Match Thread

Have to say that is funny?? -
Bloody hell, we sold Fonte because he was waining quite rapidly. Keep a grip...
-
I will give you a very good reason why a lot are short asses... This acedemy thing starts far too young. It's no good recruiting at the age of 8 for Gods sake. There are plenty of guys who don't mature until 18 that get completly bypassed... The academy could open its mind more....
-
Wrong-it's too expensive and people are adverse to the money going to line already rich players to extravagant levels..
-
Oh really....?? I don't think so..... he has moved on and in all honesty it is his loss.... Don't give him any attention at all... A player who gave good service got paid well and then his age cauhgt up with him and mistakes became regular... Forgive and forget... A typical West Ham signing.... not a great loss for us at this time and a rapidly fading light...

Spot on .....

Ummmm interesting idea.....

Much of the 'coaching' in British football is very poor... Ewe have seen that with our own recent managers and coaches... Poch stood out as a very observant coach. We still have Goalkeepers who don't come for easy crosses and one footed so called 'Proffessional' footballers in the first team. We do not coach closing down the player on the ball properly and that is just the basics so God knows what the coaching is like on more technical aspects of the game! So called coaching in football seems to consist of whether it's a 4321 or 442 and that's about it... We need employ coaches from more technical sports to coach football. There are far too many people in proffessional football with poor coaching skills...

Saints 1 Norwich 0 - For Once We Score A Late Winner!
captainchris replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Well Shlong did his very best to head it straight at the goalkeeper who was so surprised at his generosity that he threw it straight back to him to eventually kick it over the line from 4 1/2 inches..... We really do need someone who can take easy chances... Not that is by any means the only issue ...
