The signs are that if he is permanent captain the team will respond to his type of leadership--by example of commitment-more that they responded to Hoj and his arm waving. the midfield is performng better without Hoj, which is a good sign for the future.

Yoshi was a gentleman off the pitch and gave 100% on the pitch, I really hope we have some sort of 'thank you'

we are not a selling club now? only because we haven't had anyone worth selling recently. We will never hold a top player, that is what is so discouraging. But Danny will stay IMHO because he has seen the top set up and doesn't need to risk it again
-
Danny is home and has never had it so good, he would be crazy to move and he knows it

I think its great to have three South coast teams in the Premier league and Pompey not one of them. Bournemouth have done brilliantly with a tiny ground, very little spending money and no costly stars, well done and good luck to them except when they play us. Football is money dominated and money crazy and its good for the game when someone like Bournemouth gets to the top league and stays there, espercially if rich clubs like West Ham and Villa bite the dust

The habit of playing the ball backwards has become an obsession, even our throw ins invariably go backwards and when free kicks from attacking positions also go backwards I despair and think 'well, we deserve to lose'---and we do, eleven times on our own ground in one season, What does it take to make us change and go forward?

The idea of Vest against Deeny scares me and I guess it scares him as well

The seasson has become null and void and the sooner this is admitted the better. So sorry for Liverpool and Leeds haha

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

I fear a long drawn out stalemate in which nothing will be done and no policy clarified. It could go on for a few years, other sales eg Newcastle have taken time and our attraction to buyers will fall. I am not normally pessimistic but I am on this one, not that many folk have £250million spare cash--and that would only be for starters. -

The present owner has been such a useless flop that I feel almost anyone is sure to be better. I hope it is not a person with betting money but there is hardly anyone I would be unhappy with, after the last few years. I would even welcome Lowe. Perhaps Mike Channon will steer a racing type our way, Maybe that Dubai fellow. -
Its funny that when Cedric was here he was slated on this forum week after week.
-
We paid him a lot when we were going bankrupt. How much does an ambassador get now?

Post-match reaction: Saints 2-0 Aston Villa
Dellman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Yes, that's when we sacked the manager and the rot set in -
We need someone fit enough to play more than 9 games in 3 years---that's his current rate...NO thanks
-
I thought he was a natural to end his career at Bournemouth, but please not us.
-
People who are saying yes, yes, must think he is still as good as when he played here..No, no he is near the end of his career, he is injury prone and he has an inflated opinion of himself which means he will be looking for a big pay day. Ralph looks for the opposite: young, eager with all to prove
-
I agree, the last ten minutes are always dire for the fnas, expecting the worst, and I don't doubt the players feel the same, not because of the fans, but because they also know their own habit of last ten minute surrenders. But we aren't the only mugs, one struggling team after another suffers and loses points in the last few minutes ---like Villa yesterday, whereas top six teams get a winner in the last minutes, whether they deserve it or not. It happens.

its ridiculous to think the fans are in any way to blame for home performances. Its amazing that the numbers have kept up the way they have. Lots of us travel long distances each week to be there and get back home near 1.00am after evenng matches. I'm a fairly polite fan, which means I support the players and don't turn against them, or against the manager. I guess that's fairly typical. Something wrong with that?
-
Sorry for the guy, but will he ever score or even look like scoring? He must be in a state of confusion to add to anxiety. don't see him getting through that this season. Maybe next season?
-
The loss of JWP was a big factor. Are we going to face the rest of the season without the team's 'engine'?
-
Cedric has said he will not renew his contract. We know it ends this season. Why is anyone surprised he is leaving. The surprise that we are getting some money for him and the good news is we have brougtht in cover. What's not to like? Why the fuss on this forum?
