  1. Didn't say you thought it was clever. Think you've got the wrong end of the stick.
  2. Lowest net spenders in the division. Is that us being clever, or being tight? Personally, with the biggest TV deal in football history, I don't think it's particularly clever.
  3. Cheers for that Les.
  4. Take comfort from the fact he probably has a really sad life.
  5. The fact that Les has to come out with this PR means he knows all is not well. The spin isn't going to impress anyone though.
  6. Watch a bit closer. Plenty not giving it their all.
  7. Decent footballers don't concede 5 goals every game. If the team have the right tactics and the players give 100% we would be ok. At the moment we have neither. I hate losing as much as the next man, but as long as we're giving it our all I can accept it.
  8. Great player when used properly.
  9. I'm not a glory-hunter, I can assure you of that. I am happy watching decent football with players giving it 100%. Where we finish is where we finish. We we are getting neither at the moment. I haven't been this p*ssed off with a manager since Ian Branfoot.
  10. Because he's not a manager for the future. Les has got to start looking at himself on this issue. He took a chance with Puel, but it's not working.
  11. What I don't understand is that Les has done a hell of a lot of good things for the club. He made a fantastic appointment in Koeman. Bit he is defending the indefensible here. This is a decent group of players that have played out of their skins for us in previous years. Are we saying the dressing room is wrong and Puel alone is right? I can't see it.
  12. Koeman got us into Europe by finishing 6th in the league. Not a chance in hell of us getting anywhere near Europe next season under our car crash of a manager.
  13. Cant see that. Black wasn't brought in as a translator. He goes way back with Puel and Reed seemed to rate him. It would have been considerably cheaper to just appoint a translator rather than Black.
  14. Not sure about that. When I go, I hope it's quickly and not slow and drawn out.
  15. Stood him in good stead for our European campaign didn't it. His management in those games was outstanding! Something I think we can all agree on. Les must be made up with him so far. Successful Euro campaign, fast-flowing attacking football ( the Southampton Way), an excited fanbase and a group of players who are firmly behind the manager he picked and would walk through walls for him. Great, isn't it? Don't think so.
  16. They will spin the f*ck out of this to deflect away from the hopeless manager.
  17. PR offensive from Reed to try and pacify the supporters. I am f*cking sick of us losing players. Fonte leaving in January would be ridiculous.
  18. The future until the end of the season.
  19. Black is being set up as the fall guy. But there is no way he could have that much influence over Puel.
  20. Very well said Ron.
  21. Fair play Jeff. Think it would be a bigger risk keeping a manager who has lost the dressing room than sacking him.
  22. I reckon it's true. Heard about some rumblings a few weeks ago. Can't blame the players for being annoyed at the system and rotation, we can all see how bad it is. I'd rather they kicked off like this. At least it shows a level of pride in what they do. As I've said before, once a manager has lost the dressing room, it's only a matter of time....
  23. He puts the cones out for training and gives out the bibs. Team selection and tactics are down to Puel. If he listens to Black, then that's down to him.
  24. A formation that doesn't get the best out of the players he's got. Boring, turgid football that is painful to watch. Second half performances often worse than first - what does he say to them at half-time? Baffling substitutions (too many to list, but why drop Long deep against West Brom when we're chasing the game?). He doesn't seem capable of 'rallying the troops'. Looks obvious to me, that a number of first-teamers don't like the way we're playing. Reckon he's lost the dressing room. His over-rotation. Personally, I don't want him to buy players that fit that system. It's boring. I would probably go to games less and less. Unsurprisingly, it's an out from me.
  25. If the idea of his talk was to get the team playing for their manager, he got his answer in spades at 4:45.
