Agree with everything said on here. The media report on them as if they were a home nation, they're not. Ireland is a foreign country. I loved watching Croatia **** them and why?, because they would have loved watching France **** us.
For me it all goes back to Euro 1988 when they beat us 1-0 in Stuttgart with a team full of English & Scots and an English manager FFS. I have never felt so low after a football match as I did that day.
Just been chatting to a Belgium visitor who was raving about this guy before I even mentioned the fact he could be coming to us on loan. He reckons de Bruyne is Belgiums best player, better than Hazard.
Same old politics of envy from the Republicans. The monarchy is the heart of Britain, our history, our heritage, it's what defines us. Yes it's got it's flaws but how will things improve if we become a republic?
It may be 'old news' but when the BBC are reporting it you do get the sense that it is genuine. Does not necessarily mean the deal will go through of course.
And that is understandable, personally I thought the booing was terrible. This, and the whole Suarez affair has I think re-kindled an antipathy towards Liverpool, but I guess that's how many (not all) Liverpudlians like it.
Absolutely agree with this. After the final whistle on Saturday I grabbed my daughters hand and we walked all the way across the pitch from the Kingsland to the Northam to find my brother, I was not going to let go. And she's 13.
