Don't think you'll find me slating the players often. Maybe one or two when it's deserved for things they have complete control over like being disciplined and making the right decisions. It's the ridiculous management of them that get on my nerves. And by "management" I am referring to the very top, down.

Beattie worked his socks off for us. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that Legod Third Coming has very poor eyesight.

That would make more sense but it isn't how this is being reported.

The rule, as portrayed, seems utterly pointless.

Decent shout. Might put a couple of quid on that.

In fairness to me, I posted the thread following the Burnley game and someone turned it into a poll a couple of days later I think. I also try to keep my opinions on JP completely divorced from my opinions on Lowe (which is what this thread is about).

Everyone knows Pompey are skint. The only people denying it are those with a vested commercial interest and a few numpty skates sad enough to register on a Saints messageboard.

Should Saints De-List from AIM & follow Sheffield Utd?
benjii replied to corky morris's topic in The Saints
Trust me mate, I'm right. In any case, your quoted passage even goes to show that. "the total voting rights of the members who vote" It's not complicated. -
If you honestly think all our problems are attributable to missing a few one on ones (and to be honest, we have had plenty of abject performances where we have barely even managed to create a one on one) and have nothing to do with a completely one dimensional and easy-to-play-against system then I have little respect for your footballing knowledge.

Obviously there is no formation that can guarantee that and no one is being moronic enough to suggest there is. There are formations however, that don't result in a bunch of players wandering around aimlessly upfront, in full backs being completely isolated, in the opposition defence not being put under pressure when on the ball, in the attacking team getting players in the box etc... The question is: does 4-2-1-2-1 obtain the best results our players are capable of getting? No one can answer that as you can only play each game once, but I think most of us suspect the answer is "no".

Good stuff.

Should Saints De-List from AIM & follow Sheffield Utd?
benjii replied to corky morris's topic in The Saints
They can increase their share capital and issue new shares but they can't offer them for general public sale (or trade them on a listing exchange). In other words, unless the directors are prepared to dip into their pockets or individuals are preapared to pump cash in and come on board... "no". However, given that there is presently no public appetite whatsoever for shares in Saints it wouldn't make much difference. -

75% refers to the proportion of votes cast. It doesn't matter if most shareholders don't bother voting. -
I think most people can manage to "concentrate" on our survival battle and also have a little at Pompey at the same time. Blimey, the other day I managed to blow my nose whilst boiling the kettle.:supz:

It is indeed the proverbial gnat's growler.

Can we have a sticky so that anyone who wants to discuss anything that isn't Rupert Lowe related can do it on there please? This will not be the first such sticky, oh no. I'm sure we all agree that partitioning the forum into topics-by-sticky and having one enormous, unnavigable behemoth of a thread for each generic category of Saints related musings would do no end of good to this forum and would help to spice tings up a bit. It would also help to stop people posting pointless "look at me" style garbage threads as these would, over timed be susbsumed by one huge "sticky wicket" thread. Each week we can have a poll for the next topic to experience "death by sticky". These polls will be held on a giant sticky poll thread. It's the future of fora. I thank you.

Saints Greatest XI - Second Best Right-Midfielder Poll

I'm still outraged and disgusted. -
This is utter tripe. We played much better football under Redknapp than we do now in the CCC and we played football under Burley in the play-off season as well as at times towards the end of last season. Frankly, who cares anyway? That's not the point. The point is that we're getting worse and worse, that the manager is starting to make himself look a bit odd for several reasons and has also publically admitted that about half the first team appear to have motivational problems. And you're saying they are the most committed? Give me a break. About ahlf of the them are playing for a move and the other half are having the stuffing knocked out of them. I have been to plenty of games this season thanks. The only time I have seen this entertaining football was for 45 minutes at Cardiff, for 45 minutes v Brum in the league, for the match v Brum in the cup, for about half an hour against QPR and er.... apart from that it's been prett insipid, boring, unentertaining guff to be honest. Oh actually, the West Ham friendly was OK and I suppose we must have played well at Reading (didn't go to that, was out of the country) and Derby. In other words we did well at the start of the season have had a couple of freak results and are now getting worse IMO. I can't remember ever witnessing many worse performances than Bristol City at home, Barnsley at home, Blackpool at home, Palace away, Burnley away (we battled back because they chilled out - and when you say "battled back" you're still talking about a loss). Even in the worst days of Burley or Wigley we were still capable of scoring a goal. Without Holmes or a right winger we look singularly incapable of doing that. "Develop with every performance" - you must be mental.

Thank you for starting a "Lowe Out!" thread. There aren't enough.
-
Tyson is lightning fast though. Is he fit at the moment or in the team? I've no idea but I did see them play a few times in League 1. If we defend high up the pitch we'll done with balls over the top all day long.
-
If we were 4th in the league we would easily sell out St Mary's every game and proably hit 40,000 for most of them IMO. We'd certainly get more than 35,000 anyway. Anyway... back to the main point of the thread... what a grubby little club.
-
"Right, who's the manager? You're a ****ing ****, you are."
-
It's not just Pompey that have terrible support. Villa could only get 35,000 for their match with Bolton, despite being in the top 4, scoring loads of goals and being in the 2nd most populous city in the nation. Brummies are either tight or skint, as B'ham City get **** poor attendances too. If we were in Villa's position we'd get 40,000+ easily if we had the capacity (and that's not Pompey speak, I actually think that's realistic).

Saints Greatest XI - Second Best Right-Midfielder Poll

I want my fiver back. This is the kind of liberal nonsense that means I have to queue for sweet potatoes and plantain.
