  1. Then why do most teams throughout history have better home records than away?
  2. I think £41 a year would be well within the FFP limits. But he may want a bit more.
  3. So if this thread gets closed will a new one appear called "RH contract thread - why is it 'closed'? thread - why is it closed" ?
  4. Henderson's to Salah against us was even better I think. A thing of real beauty was our second goal. Brilliant run and pass by Redmond and superb finish by Ings.
  5. Yes, but the difference is that for the last few seasons we've often deserved to lose from winning positions due to mistakes. Since the 0-9 there's been a huge turn around mentally and we haven't been doing that. Tonight we didn't deserve to lose. The problem now is with JWP and Cedric out the good league form may not continue. Thankfully the run in fixtures look good.
  6. He'll be back from injury soon.
  7. Sorry, that's rubbish. Their first was a jammy deflection, their second was a superb finish (like Ings' was), and the third doesn't need describing further.
  8. Just when I thought I couldn't hate Spurs more. I have 14 teams to support in the Cup now. Whoever plays them, and whoever plays the Skates.
  9. Strange not to have McCarthy on the bench, just in case. Hope Djenepo doesn't have Valery's virus.
  10. Yes, so I would swap PEH to RB and keep JWP in midfield. I think PEH played RB against City earlier this season and didn't do too badly.
  11. Sampampton. Good luck Yoshi. Model pro.
  12. I doubt it. Fortunately Ralph is the manager now, not zero-trophy Poch.
  13. My thoughts. Both were penalties, which is why I wasn't pissed off with the Ings one. I was amazed VAR didn't give one for Long's rugby tackle on the goal line. It evened itself out. Kevin Friend Of Liverpool was a joke with those multiple wrong decisions, all discussed here. This is the first time (and probably last) that I felt proud of the team after a 4-0 defeat. Liverpool deserved to win but the score line flattered them. Our crime was naivety in committing too many forward at times, leaving us vulnerable to the lethal Liverpool counter attack.
  14. Can't really blame them for being supremely confident.
  15. The news and information part didn't last long!
  16. Solid if unspectacular is a massive step up from our slapstick defensive performances up to that 0-9. Also why would he sulk if he's here for a few more months? He knows he'll be off in the summer. He's crap as a LB, but he's been performing well recently in his correct position, and certainly been a part of our amazing up turn. This is a penny wise - pound foolish move by the club. Again.
  17. Free hit for us. Yes, beating Spurs is the priority. Liverpool have won the league, they don't care about goal difference, so would be more than happy with an effortless 1-0 win and no injuries. I reckon 2-0 to them, with them going 1 up by midway and holding out comfortably. Late on as we try to get the equaliser they'll hit us on the break for the second.
  18. Except that's exactly what they did this time last year.
  19. He's been leaving for the past 4 seasons. Do keep up!
  20. Exactly. Not to mention weakening us in a potential cup run.
  21. If this is true it's deja vu all over again. The club did this a year ago (and got away with it). Hey, if I'm successful at Russian roulette once, why not do it again?
  22. Liverpool kids (and no Klopp) vs. Minnows. At Anfield. Yawn.
  23. And if you have Germans at work don't mention the war. I did once, but I think I got away with it.
  24. Scumbags.
  25. West Ham United say staying in the Premier League is "an absolute necessity" after posting financial losses of £27.26m. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51277627 Poor old Hammers. I almost shed a tear for them.
