Wow! Incredible! That was a microcosm of the season: they looked dead and buried for most of the match, and then made a miraculous comeback! Throw in the 8-0 and it's been a great day!

I like him too. He's clearly got tons of skill, very enthusiastic and always gives 100%. End product often frustrating, let's hope he can sort that out this season.

Relegation battles that see us barely survive may be fun to look back on after a few years, but are horrible at the time. Give me a boring mid-table finish any time.

As others have said, he looks worryingly like a Hoedt Mk II. Hopefully not of course, but if he does sign I wonder if they can include a being-an-arsehole get out clause?

He's normally an idiot indeed. Didn't he finish bottom of the Euro 2020 prediction league against his colleagues? And against his clueless guests for the PL he struggles to beat them 50% of the time. Having said that, it's hard to argue against anything he said above, other than 0-2 is being kind to us!

To compromise how about keeping Ralph (so no payoff) AND bringing in a second manager. Ralph manages the first halves, stays in the dressing room at half time and has a nice cup of tea, and the new one takes over for the second halves. I'm surprised no one has thought of it.

Absolutely this. As many have said, we desperately need to find a goal scoring replacement. Of course the club knows this, but an affordable, reliable PL level goal scorer is as rare as hens' teeth. Hopefully a miracle can happen, but if not we're fucked.

If Ings is able to play I reckon we can get a goal.

Rumour has it that he essentially took over from the hapless, useless, incompetent Souness towards the end of the season as we were sinking into relegation, and was the main reason we were able to turn it around and achieve yet another Great Escape. R.I.P. Terry.

We've had some very good signings from Chelsea over the years (apart from Speedie and Dixon of course). So hopefully he'll be another one.

I think Ralph said a similar thing about Boufal when he came back from a loan. He was shipped out shortly afterwards.

I'm surprised Puel was allowed to bring in the Donkey from Monaco for £19m. I've never forgiven him for that.
