The treatment of all the Academy lads is a mystery. You can't say one of them can't get some time on the pitch in every game. reed played a full 90 minutes last year against Everton where we won 90 minutes. He did a great job. And what about recalling Sam Gallagher. He's a big lad and there's more chance of him scoring than Shane Long. Jack Stephens should be recalled too sand should be on the bench and get at least 15 minutes every game. Matt Targett too needs inclusion more often............and so on. When we were 6 - 0 down to Liverpool what a great opportunity to blood a younger or two. Other teams do it, so why can we? The problem lies with Koeman who gerrymanders too much to his Dutch players and the usual failures, so that they never need to worry about being dropped. Remember when he disciplined Mane for turning up late? Following game he scored the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history. How does Pochettino manage to blood the younger players? Answer? By having one or two on the bench and giving them playtime during a match. So why can Koeman not do the same. By doing so you'll soon see the regulars up a gear or two. There are solutions and the failures lie with Koeman who won't take a chance, won't try something different. He needs to be old and pull his finger out.

Could do worse than move Soares into midfield together with Romeu or Reed and play Maya Fonte VVD at the back.

It's Nigel Pearson we're in need of, not Nigel Adkins A manager who knows how to kick ar se but also one who truly inspires and doesn't pussy foot about. Study the history of Koeman's managerial career and what's taking place is just a repeat of every previous situation. He really doesn't have a Plan B or has never been able to run a top class Academy like the one he inherited at Saints. He's lost it, and lost the players by playing the same old Pan A, team selections, and substitutions. Charlie M said the defense was a disaster, the forwards were a disaster. He forgot to mention that our midfield were shocking and the root cause the entire team disintegrated, has disintegrated of late. Fonte is a root cause of much of the failure of the defense in that he longer knows where to position himself and is so often caught with his pants down. He's no longer leading or the others are no longer listening to him. Van Dyke is constant blaming other players yet creating huge mistakes himself. I shall not mention the usual culprits, they get worse with every game. I honestly can't see Koeman, his brother Erwin and Jan Kluitenberg ever being bout to find the solution. We could sign the best strikers in the world, but they'd be forced to play Plan A and never be able to score goals. Some big decisions are needed and we can't afford to fiddle around without a PlanB for too long.

I'm afraid I saw through Koeman a long, long time ago. He's leading us back to oblivion by his constant purchasing of Dutch League players. Koeman leaves eventually and what are we left with? No coincidence in the Mourinho - Van Gaal - Koeman past and the way they're playing and leading their clubs down a similar path. Pochettino is proving what a good coach and manager he has become.

The more he remains at Saints, the more I see a comparison to Harry Redknapp's way of dealings in the transfer market. Something doesn't smell right. His latest call to spend has Harry written all over it. Time will prove me correct and till then I have nothing more to discuss.

I do not have the faith that Koeman is capable of turning things around in such a way to finish in the Top Six. Everything about him is going to how I predicted it would when he was appointed. He did a marvellous job during parts of last season, but I believe he only did so by following on what Pochettino had started. As each game passed we went from playing attacking football to becoming more and more defensive. Nowadays we tend to play more of the ball back to the defenders than forward to our strikers. My blood boils as the ball heads forward only for one of our players to pass the ball backwards and eventually to the keeper. This is not they type of football we will take things forward with. We need to shore up our defense quickly and a make a swift move and l be signing Ron Vaar on a free. When the Window opens we need a player to truly be up to replacing Schneiderlin and a striker who will put Pelle under pressure. Sadly I believe Pelle has a guarantee of playing no matter what he achieves. Had Vardy been signed Koeman's insistence on Dutch League experience and usual expectations for playing first team football would have ensured he never got a game. I'd like to see Gallagher brought back into the squad and the likes of Seagar sent out on loan as Koeman has no intentions of ever giving him a game.

The so-called lack of confidence is directly linked to Koeman's deluded choice of the same favorite players and by him not including young players showing promise. Even having on or two doing well on the bench sends out a strong message right down the line from top to bottom. Recent results of the first team, Under 21's and Under 18's prove every player is disheartened, doesn't believe in a fair chance of getting ahead if they play well. Every successful club provides the incentive to every player that if he plays well he has opportunities to progress. Pochettino often included young players doing well on the bench even though he didn't play them. The presence of Wanyama, his attitude and Koeman's constant bigging him up, making him feel important is also affecting others in the squad. There was a notable improvement from other players as soon as he was replaced. Time to get rid of him and get a decent price rather allowing him to fester and poison the entire team. He's nobody any longer, can't pass to save his life, yet the preferential treatment by Koeman is the downfall of morale. The inclusion of Harrison Reed brings more to the team than the likes of 30 minutes from Clasie. This guy is, and will probably remain ineffective playing in the Premier League. Even Ramirez offers more but not player by Koeman. I'm just sick of Koeman's inability to change things around by his deluded attitude of picking the same old players instead of freshening things up. There is no inspiration and motivation.

The saddest thing about tomorrow is that Koeman will pick an almost identical team instead of sending out warning to those who under-performed in the last two games. I wouldn't give a damn if he'd give the likes of Seagar, Reed and Targett a game. Koeman's holding back player development. No one needs reminding had Chambers stayed at the club, he'd be plying in the Under 21's. He's leading the long term health of the club into oblivion by not taking chances by giving young players a game. The one thing he doesn't seem to realise is that they'd bleed Southampton and give every ounce of themselves for the team. We can't keep saying they're not good enough when the dross he's brought in aren't any better.

How the hell do we expect professional players to give their everything when there are no youngsters on the bench threatening to expose them by being given a chance. What was wrong with having Matty Targett and Harrison Reed on the bench tonight. Koeman, as I've said previously, has lost it right thru the club where motivation is concerned. The youngsters are giving up knowing they can't do anything to be given a chance of playing for the first team. The pros know Koeman will pick them whatever happens. Shameful performance where our defense were incapable of shutting things down and just rolled over whilst Koeman just sat on his fat arse and smirked rather than do anything. Half tonight's team should be transfer listed and replaced. We will never progress with such players getting constantly picked. He has not improved the squaded whatsoever since Scheiderlin and Clyne left with the exception of Van Dijk.

Well, the big spend will commence with us signing ex Aston Villa center half Ron Vaar on a free. Not a bad move considering Fonte's injury situation. Unless we change our general policy of cheap replacements in other positions, and buying midgets and dwarfs Koeman is going to have no choice but to follow Pochettino out of the club due to lack of ambition. Surely we have built enough of a reputation to bring in decent, reliable players who are up to the job of playing in the Premier League.

The rot begins at the top and over the past couple of weeks the results are falling apart right down the line. Koeman seems to have lost all authority and belief all the way thru the club.. When the youngsters are held back it's only right they lose heart and hope of progressing. Someone yesterday said it's better for the youngsters to go out on loan than to waste their time playing in the Under 21 Reserve teams.

I'm not looking forward to this match at all. It will be more of the same, with Koeman playing his usual gang of favorites and failing to be adventurous one little bit. Past managers when playing a game like this with the odds against us have experimented knowing it stood a better chance of getting a surprise result. Rather than playing Long as the direct replacement of Pelle, why can't give Ryan Seagar a game, or play the likes of Van Dijk in attack. We've little to lose and everything to gain. I'd rather something like this than watch the recent dross with Long achieving nothing at all.
