  1. Player trading is quite interesting though just a loss of 1.1 million seemingly even though we bought Hammond,Lambert,Barnard,Fonte,Puncheon and Richardson in that period. Must have got goodly sums for Rasiak,Surman and McGoldrick then.
  2. Well probably not no, but the owners (whoever that may be) will have to fork out some cash again this summer.
  3. We will probably make an even bigger loss this season actually, the JPT and getting to the 5th round of the cup must have brought in quite a lot of money.
  4. see post 36. VMAN always gives good gen on this subject.
  5. There'll be a build up video later on today, no doubt NA will tell us about Stephens then.
  6. Hammond also got his 9th booking of the season today, still with only 2 matches left before the next let off level he may well escape another ban. Couldn't follow the game today so was spared the emotions of going 2 behind, result is all that counts though.
  7. Certainly not the first late challenge we've seen on AOC this season then. We should "shut him down" until we get into a league where hackers in the Chopper Harris mode aren't permitted to exist by referees and managers alike. What a relief getting to the NPC is going to be.
  8. Sushi isn't just raw fish, it's the vinagared rice base that goes with it.The fish bit is called sashimi. As far as I know the acid in the vinegar (acetic as we all know from our 2nd form chemistry) partially "cooks" the fish.
  9. But we did, Burley gave him a role for every match, right back, midfield whatever, as long as he got a game it didn't matter where.
  10. Invest a little bit of your easy come money in a small business software package, there are loads of them about, Sterling used to be pretty handy, invoicing, pay, book-keeping etc.
  11. I can imagine MLT playing Papageno actually.
  12. 95 million a day for the crap the UK's schools are turning out nowadays....you're having a laugh.
  13. Not in 1978 though (74 maybe) I went up there in August, went to the final, they were ecstatic beat us 4-1 and the pope died, made their day completely, blue glasgie was awash with beer and whisky.
  14. They probably wouldn't have noticed anyway, it was a great day for them....if I remember correctly the Pope died on the same day as they beat us 4-0.
  15. Some sort of contractual condition added 2 years back apparently. It was a very sketchy conversation at a France U21 game.
  16. the other Stephens is just on loan for the time being.Probably still on very low wages despite the report that he was on double the sum he was on at Oldham. As for the new Stephens he hasn't signed yet and is just an apprentice at Argyle, probably on some ridiculously low amount. Dickson and Richardson? well if they ever get back into the first XI then I guess that'll be money well spent, for the time being it's just 600K+add ons+salaries sitting on our bench. Don't forget Brighton signed Ankergren,Calderon and Greer last summer, probably for less than we paid for Richardson.
  17. Well yes I think the rules have been clearly established and that he could play for us this season, but then again he doesn't actually play for Plymouth now does he? If he can't get a game at Plymouth at this time why would he play in front of any of our no doubt superior players?
  18. We shall see when he come up against a better class of defender, when pace will no longer suffice and he has to use his brain a bit.
  19. Is this thread about his forthcoming marriage then? I wouldn't fancy her to be sure.
  20. Wayne Kerr still exist.
  21. Sorry to hear that but I'm just not a fan of middlemen everywhere, then again I live in a society that has little use for them. If you want a "credit" in France you just go to the bank (or banks) and ask them.Middlemanning is outlawed in the banking sector although there are financial advisers. Thus the banks and mortgage lenders are obliged to take on sufficient staff to do the job for themselves, gives better job security and advancement prospects and cuts out scurilous overlending. In general here you cannot have loan repayments which exceed 30% of your salary and it works very well.
  22. good, don't need mortgage brokers anyway. What happened to the good old fashioned way of just going to the bank or building society and asking them straight out without having to resort to loads of smooth talking middlemen.
  23. They probably meant Puncheon.Which would be true.
  24. For every player who makes the first team (on a regular basis) from the academy we release 5 or 6 to Salisbury,Eastbourne,Bournemouth and beyond. We even end up trying to buy some of them back at a later date.
