  1. Giovanni van Bronckhorst has Feyenoord playing some nice stuff. They score loads of goals and have let in few goals. Phillip Cocu's style at PSV is more conservative and PSV dropped many points this/last season. Has to be said that both have strong squads and it would have been a farce if one of them had finished outside the top 3. Peter Bosz from Ajax would be a great appointment (won't happen), the guy has Ajax playing some amazing stuff and watch them beat United Wednesday in the Europa league final.
  2. If he gets the sack from PSG, we should try and sign him asap. Proven in La Liga, lost the Champions League draw to some dodgy refereeing and relatively big name. To attract players, and retain some other, we need a manager with a proven record.
  3. Sisto is very much a raw talent, but with the right coaching and environment he could become a very good player. Got good pace and can score goals (something we seem to have forgotten).
  4. Ziyech is a amazing player and is thriving under Peter Bosz at Ajax. If I am right Ajax paid around 10 million euro for Ziyech, we would have to pay silly money to get him. I doubt if Ziyech would've suited to the PL, he would have to bulk up significantly. The player we should have signed last summer is Pione Sisto from Celta de Vigo. Celta signed him for 5 million from some Danish club last summer.
  5. has signed a 2 year deal with former Saints manager Nigel Adkins joining him as assistant
  6. I can't see the point in playing a player, that has been injured for most of the season, just for the last 2 games. Say he gets injured again and he will lose part of the pre season. If I was the club I would send him on holiday and make him come back early for pre season, to work on his fitness.
  7. Shaw coming back from United . It won't happen, but for the sake of his career it would be a good choice. Play most weeks with less pressure and a known environment.
  8. Could add Maguire from Hull to that list. Maybe we should be looking in the championship for talented players. For Keane and Gibson I hope they make the right choice of club. Going to a club were they wouldn't play could harm their careers.
  9. Wasn't Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough supposed to be decent? Haven't seen him play, but the papers were raving about him.
  10. Puel lost Wanyama, Pelle, Mane and in January Van Dijk.
  11. No Schneiderlin?
  12. Maybe being rested for Saturday, its unlikely we will get something out of this game.
  13. The goal from Clasie, http://m.voetbalzone.nl/social_item.asp?uid=8564
  14. Glad to see Stephens doing well, Yoshida has improved too. Would like to see Stephens play next to VVD. The question now is, which PL top club will Stephens be linked to first in the rags? My money's on Arsenal.
  15. We have 2 games in hand..
  16. Exactly, if I was the club I wouldnt risk playing VVD. Get him fit and in amazing shape for next season, no need to rush him through his recovery just to get him fit for the last game. To many players get rushed through their recovery, just to get injured soon after (Arsenal players being a good example).
  17. It all depends on what kind of muscle strain Gabbi has. It's classed grade 1 till 3, with 1 being a minor strain (3-5 weeks) and grade 3 the most severe, on the verge of a torn muscle (around 8 weeks). It also depends if the player has had a similar injury in the past.
  18. Pochettino demands a lot from his players, high pressing and covering a lot of ground. We all know his teams tire towards the end of the season, lets hope it starts against us. Would be very happy with a draw, Gabbi to continue scoring.
  19. If that was Saints I would be happy we had progressed to the next round. However I would have zero pride in the way it was done. Neymar and Suarez dived, kicked and tried to get other players booked all game. It was disgusting to see that attitude at the top level of football, at any level its unacceptable. You can say whatever you want, but UEFA needed Barcelona to progress and the ref certainly helped with some supicious decisions. Barcelona have a far greater fan base around the world and having them move on to the next round means a lot more tv viewers around the world and more revenue for UEFA. And we all know UEFA has little to do with football and a lot more to do with money.
  20. Barcelona were done massive favour yesterday by UEFA or whoever gave the ref that brown paper bag..
  21. Former Saint Lee Molyneux scores a late equalizer for Morcambe against the mighty Skates down in League 2.
  22. A quick google search tells us: Ryan Smith now works as a freelance consultant for Unilad. Anthony Pulis retired in 2014 to start work as a coach at Orlando city Lee Molyneux plays at Morcambe Tommy Forecast has disappeared all together Jan Poortvliet coaches in China
  23. I would rather we didnt rush players back from injuries. If injuries havent healed properly, the chance of getting injured again (and the effect would be far worse) increases significantly. If we take for instance a torn ACL, regardless if you are a PL footballer or a Sunday League player, a torn ACL means a year on the sidelines. Arjen Robben is a good example of what can go wrong after rushing back from injury. Just before the 2010 WC Robben was injured. He went to see this Dutch physiotherapist who miraculously got him match fit for the finals (by stretching him senselessy). The result after the WC was that he lost the first half of the season through injury due to rushing back to soon.
  24. From the clubs mentioned above in the poll, which players would you like to see us sign? Would take Sigurdsson from Swansea, Pickford from Sunderland and possibly Drinkwater from Leicester.
  25. Leeds, Brighton and Newcastle to go up. Would like to see Leicester, Sunderland and Palace go down.
