Glad to see Stephens doing well, Yoshida has improved too. Would like to see Stephens play next to VVD. The question now is, which PL top club will Stephens be linked to first in the rags? My money's on Arsenal.
-
We have 2 games in hand..
-
Exactly, if I was the club I wouldnt risk playing VVD. Get him fit and in amazing shape for next season, no need to rush him through his recovery just to get him fit for the last game. To many players get rushed through their recovery, just to get injured soon after (Arsenal players being a good example).

It all depends on what kind of muscle strain Gabbi has. It's classed grade 1 till 3, with 1 being a minor strain (3-5 weeks) and grade 3 the most severe, on the verge of a torn muscle (around 8 weeks). It also depends if the player has had a similar injury in the past.

Pochettino demands a lot from his players, high pressing and covering a lot of ground. We all know his teams tire towards the end of the season, lets hope it starts against us. Would be very happy with a draw, Gabbi to continue scoring.

If that was Saints I would be happy we had progressed to the next round. However I would have zero pride in the way it was done. Neymar and Suarez dived, kicked and tried to get other players booked all game. It was disgusting to see that attitude at the top level of football, at any level its unacceptable. You can say whatever you want, but UEFA needed Barcelona to progress and the ref certainly helped with some supicious decisions. Barcelona have a far greater fan base around the world and having them move on to the next round means a lot more tv viewers around the world and more revenue for UEFA. And we all know UEFA has little to do with football and a lot more to do with money.

Barcelona were done massive favour yesterday by UEFA or whoever gave the ref that brown paper bag..

Former Saint Lee Molyneux scores a late equalizer for Morcambe against the mighty Skates down in League 2.
-
A quick google search tells us: Ryan Smith now works as a freelance consultant for Unilad. Anthony Pulis retired in 2014 to start work as a coach at Orlando city Lee Molyneux plays at Morcambe Tommy Forecast has disappeared all together Jan Poortvliet coaches in China

I would rather we didnt rush players back from injuries. If injuries havent healed properly, the chance of getting injured again (and the effect would be far worse) increases significantly. If we take for instance a torn ACL, regardless if you are a PL footballer or a Sunday League player, a torn ACL means a year on the sidelines. Arjen Robben is a good example of what can go wrong after rushing back from injury. Just before the 2010 WC Robben was injured. He went to see this Dutch physiotherapist who miraculously got him match fit for the finals (by stretching him senselessy). The result after the WC was that he lost the first half of the season through injury due to rushing back to soon.

From the clubs mentioned above in the poll, which players would you like to see us sign? Would take Sigurdsson from Swansea, Pickford from Sunderland and possibly Drinkwater from Leicester.
-
Leeds, Brighton and Newcastle to go up. Would like to see Leicester, Sunderland and Palace go down.
-
Sell/let go: Isgrove, Clasie, Martina, Taylor, Gazzaniga. Buy: Look for a new CB, attacking midfielder, RB. Kongolo at Feyenoord would be a good CB and Klaassen from Ajax for the midfield. I don't play OSM or Fifa so not that familiar with young talent in Europe. Would like to see us buy up and coming talent from the lower leagues. On the exception of the League Cup, the season has been a little disappointing. Would give Puel the summer and a full pre season to get the team playing the way he wants. Maybe add some new back room staff to work with the players.

Started watching Saints in 2002 (when I was 16), so sadly never got to see the Le Tiss years. Ever: Lambert Current: Austin and Van Dijk.

Koeman has won 3 league titles in the Netherlands, 2 with Ajax and 1 very suspect one with PSV. At Ajax Koeman had Ibrahimovic, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart and Maxwell to select. The squad he had was far superior to that of Feyenoord and PSV, anything but the league would have been a massive failure. Up to his time at Feyenoord he was seen as a average manager in the Netherlands. When he was appointed manager at Feyenoord many fans feared relegation. If he had failed at Feyenoord his managerial career would have been over. The last few weeks have been disappointing, but with this squad I doubt Koeman would have done a better job then Puel is now.

I would rather have Davenport playing at CB instead of Caceras

Just had Football Focus on, Lawro and some other bloke (missed his name) were talking about Saints v West Ham. Bloke said about the signing of Gabidiani: Zaza didn't work out with them so there is extra pressure on Gabi to perform

Reading Gabbiadini's wikipedia page I just saw his sister also plays as a striker.. I think I'll pass on her https://www.google.nl/search?q=melania+gabbiadini&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjJgqH02erRAhVFExoKHbkHD1kQ_AUICCgB&biw=1366&bih=662#imgrc=_ His goalscoring record seems quite decent and he would bring some extra hight up front.

Good strength coaches, kinesiologists, physical therapists, nutritionists etc. Have the players spend half of the week on the pitch and the other half in the gym and recovery rooms.
-
Will we see a u23 player make his debut and put in motm performance (like Sims, Stephens and McQueen)? Ryan Seagar back from injury?
-
Slightly oftopic, but wouldnt mind celebrating the victory with the owner of that account..
-
Didn't Pardew roger his misses? Remember that rumour going round just after he was sacked.
-
. Well he's not going to say, glad you f**ked you big head. The team is just like other workplaces, you get on with some, you argue with each other but in the end you all work towards the same goal.

Spartak Moscow interested according to some dodgy football website. Or could Jose be lining up a move to China?
-
Perhaps Puel should follow Koeman and demand new players
Dr. Kucho replied to John B's topic in The Saints
Expect Koeman to do a interview on transfer deadline day, sitting in his car with Erwin next to him..
