  1. TBH I think he'll struggle there. He'll do fantastically to keep them up, and they won't get promoted next year
  2. Perhaps we're getting Buffon? or Pirlo?
  3. Great win, should have been a lot more. scary the similarities between that and Man City. Thought we may well regret our missed chances (again) but great 2nd half. Liverpool really are a nothing side: Living off past glories. Johnson isn't England class, Cylne today was head and shoulders above him. could do with a Newcastle win tomorrow. Then 6 points I think will keep us up
  4. I've just posted it on the other forum, I think 36 points with out GD (as long as we don't get smashed) will keep us up. 2 wins and 2 draws
  5. Having looked at the fixtures, QPR will stay up. Wigan/stoke at home plus trips to villa and reading. we have 5 home games (liverpool/chelsea/wham/wbrom/stoke) and 4 away games (Reading/swansea/spurs/sunderland) If we can pick up 8 points (2 wins from 3 winable home games and 2 points elsewhere) will leave us on 36 points, a total which I think will keep us up. Interestingly enough, we're the only one of the 5 down there at the moment who only have 1 of the other lot left to play. Whether that helps us or not, only time will tell
  6. I just hope Forren gets fit soon. A decent strike force would have seen us Win the game yesterday. How many more games and points are we going to throw away. We could, and should, be safely mid-table. Have to say, well done Artur. That save could turn out to be huge at the end of the season. Thankfully the club took a more sensible approach to him than the bed-wetters on here who wanted him sacked. Let's get him signed up. More than capable at this level, and our best keeper by a country mile However, we need another goalscorer. Rodriguez isn't yet good enough to be one in the PL, we have more than enough players capable of creating chances, but we only have 1 real person who can put them away. (and before anyone metions it, no Billy Sharp is NOT the answer)
  7. why? If they stay up it's because they've deserved to. The same for us if we go down
  8. I said it when Redknapp was appointed, they'd beat us at St. Mary's and he'll keep them up. I still stand by that comment. Reading Wigan Us or Villa In no particular order
  9. especially seeing as we allegedly have two managers on the pay roll
  10. Ah yes, because Cortese is responsible for the poor performance on the pitch today isn't he...
  11. Ramirez is over-priced and money we should have spent elsewhere. However, performances on the pitch are the reason we are in the ****e. droppng home points against Wigan/Man U/swansea/norwich/fulham/qpr to name a few are reasons why.
  12. Anyone half decent will be sold off before they're 20 anyway. The system doesn't work. I don't get why people rave so much about our academy. you wouldn't buy a vineyard, plant all the trees/plants and nurture them until the grapes are almost ripe then sell it to someone else to make all the wine and reap the rewards
  13. because he isn't good enough for the international level. his finishing isn't good enough and he's too slow. I'd rather he concentrated on just playing for Saints.
  14. Henry got 17 league goals and 26 goals in all competitions, if that's not "hitting the target" I don't know what is?
  15. You must have a short memory, Ronaldo was brilliant in his first season, and Henry got 17 league goals....
  16. Why has it taken this far to start worrying. All those points Adkins threw away will come back and haunt us
  17. Some of us have been saying this for weeks. Injury prone and looks over-priced. £12m Buys you a lot of centre back, something we've needed this season. Could end up costing us
  18. he'll have to learn how to catch first. Judging by the Argentina U21's Keeper I saw play the other day on ESPN, Gazza has a long way to go, very long way
  19. probably still be on the Physio's bench with Gaston
  20. Far too good to be playing in Blue Square South. Quite a lot of ex-Saints academy in that league, some like Jamie White look destined for the football league, others, like Callum McNish look destined for sunday league. Jordace Holder-Spooner is also playing in that division, but isn't getting much game time at Basingstoke, probably due to his attitude
  21. perhaps this guy can play for 90 minutes?
  22. Gaston Ramirez daren kenton djamal belmadi leandre griffit
  23. put it this way, he can kick a ball better with his weaker left foot than Kelvin can with his stronger right foot.
  24. I thought Boruc was "crap" and "should never play for Saints again" after his much-ado-about-nothing incident funny how fan opinions change. From day 1 I've said he's the best keeper we have by a country mile, we should definitely sign him and Puncheon up at least for another season
  25. It'll be the Jaguars who move over here in 6/7 years time.
