Well at least they dropped Soames but yes I struggle to understand why the opening position wasn’t addressed. Perhaps they assumed Vince wouldn’t be in the England World Cup squad but even that left one that needed replacing. Shame really as a couple of half decent openers could have seen them challenge for the Championship. As it is their inconsistency will eventually cost them and we will probably finish about 5th.

Can’t remember who we were playing but his first match at The Dell saw his opponent just chip the ball over his head every time he got it and just ran past him. He was without doubt abysmal.
