Ok a lot newer. After watching that brentford bournemouth game i’m Left wondering if toney is as useless as he appeared or is he completely injured and brentford just refused to play a fit player in his stead.
-
Someone new like Brentford or Barnsley. Would be slightly depressing if all three relegated teams bounced back immediately.
-
I mainly just don't have time for more football in my life. I've enjoyed watching the odd international match even if the quality is nowhere near as high as the men's game. I do feel a big issue at times is the lack of competiveness. Too often just one team thrashing another.
-
I'd go Vestergaard red, just marginally ahead of the appalling Villa Cash non handball The brighton penalty was our most generous the other way.
-
Agree it'll be tougher but i would like revenge for that result earlier and they are the sort of side we should be aiming to beat.
-
I think if we lose Vestergaard, ( if Stephens isn't first choice too), we lose much of the ability on the ball. So far what i've seen of Salisu he looks limited in that regard like Bednarek which i don't think is ideal.

Marca, kwp, Stephens, vestergaard, salisu, jwp, Armstrong, Tella, djenepo, Adams, ings
-
Annoying to lose the clean sheet but it was a quality finish by their kid. Lovely to see Tella get off the mark. Made a real difference when he came on. Thought Redmond was our poorest player today.
-
Yeah i'd happily see both off with Tella/Djenepo on.
-
I'm the opposite i prefer Mccarthy as first choice
-
Well, I don't want us blowing our money on the useless Minamino so i hope he isn't looking at him with a view to next season As to who should play, most definitely Tella, who's been much brighter and could do with more minutes. I wouldn't even be opposed to moving redmond across and giving Djenepo the opportunity.
-
I think my take on it is perfectly reasonable (his complete change in gametime after they talked to us about his lack of game time) I dislike it because it means playing someone useless who isn't our player over giving game time to our players.
-
However you want to characterise the nature of the discussions. They wanted him to play more, we instantly obliged and continue to do so despite him playing garbage, rather than give opportunities to our own players.

Annoying to see the appalling Minamino still in the line up. Annoying how the minute liverpool give us a telling off we go scurrying off and play him every game.
-
I guess he’s shown he’s got talent in the past but he does seem to have gone backwards and now isn’t a kid anymore. Doesn’t seem to fit ralph’s style either. We do seem to be linked to him a lot so maybe Ralph sees something he can use.

Ashley- Cheap they also appear to playing wingbacks, which Valery had his initial success with us as.

Angus Gunn - Official: Signs for Norwich
Baird of the land replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Would be nice. Can’t get 2 excited though as it’s not a Norwich need a keeper but a if they need a keeper (based on random speculation that their reserve keeper won’t stay) they could consider Gunn or someone else. -
Jankewitz hands in transfer request
Baird of the land replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Except diallo has played poorly and been dropped, Romeu is injured, you’ve moved your best 10 there weakening the wing. Played a cb there instead too. So when exactly will this chance be, when some freak accident wipes out the whole squad. If he truly rates him highly his current use of him is bizarre. -

Ralph’s comments are a bit bizarre really. -
Not sure I agree. You’re way the club is absorbing a £20m loss whereas if you sell him you are reinvesting that 20m transfer fee in his replacement. Without investment Even if the loanee turns out to be good enough to buy spending £15m you haven’t recouped would damage the club’s ability to buy player’s unless they sell other saleable assets we don’t want to lose.
-
Was sceptical when he first signed but he''s been an excellent signing. On the balance considering how we want to play its the right time to part ways.
-
I can see why a former footballer would be impressed by a player's cleverness in terms of initiating contact to make it look natural. I thought Benteke was good for them, we really struggled to deal with him at times despite our height at the back.
-
If you let him leave on a free you are left down £20m in terms of replacing him, which makes that so much harder. If we had a half decent owner that might be an option but just don't see how it's a feasible long term plan given the current ownership. Still keeping m fingers crossed that the optimistic beats coming from the club aren't just for our benefit and that there's a chance he'll sign the new contract.

Yeah the poor u23 crop is surely a factor. While we do need some more depth, I do hope we don't swing too far back in the other direction in being loaded with mediocre dross.
