  1. Would play this based on squad : Pope Walker Stones Cahill Trent A-A Henderson Alli Young Vardy Kane Sterling a 343
  2. Please highlight the other Prem clubs that play a load of academy players. The one/two will come eventually. I blame the foreign imports if anything.
  3. Rudi Garcia has Marseille in Europa League final. A real shame if rumours were true that he rejected us in 2016, particularly when our stock was highest. It was either him or Pellegrini I wanted back then!
  4. Brentford in the terraces was great last year! I reckon Millwall would be a good laugh to play in the summer
  5. Yoshida likely to play too- no? Japan play Poland, Senegal and Colombia Outside chances also for the following maybe?: Hojbjerg (Denmark), Boufal (Morocco), Bednarek (Poland)
  6. Sorry- gonna play the economics card. If people are willing to pay at those prices, then they will keep structuring the prices in that way. It is wrong, but the way the sport is heading- and how businesses work in general- maximising profits. I’d love to know what the profit is of on an average matchday- ie. revenue (from tickets/merchandise) - cost (general running of the day). Just to really gauge an idea of how important it all is.
  7. Could have been £100m if we went down! Cheer up! Good on City for getting to 100. Let’s sort it out next season
  8. Try channel 121 on Sky Go? It is on a channel called Sky Sports Mix!
  9. Pochettino feels it is time to celebrate such success, despite not having a trophy to show for it. He said: "I think it's a fantastic achievement [to be the top London club]. In the last three years we have achieved a massive thing to play Champions League at this football club but we never celebrate [it]. "But in Southampton we avoided relegation and finished eighth in the table and we had an unbelievable party. It's true! My wife was so unhappy because I was dancing but no one recorded it, so don't worry! "Sometimes we miss those things. Clubs like Crystal Palace and Southampton - there's always a massive party at the end of the season. They are happy with what happened so they can celebrate. "So it's a little bit strange that always the feeling is not great - we finished our first season fifth, finishing better than the previous season - it's okay, but it's not enough. ------------------------------------------------------------------ lol come back here and you can have parties every year.
  10. http://brandirectory.com/league_tables/table/football-50-2018 link for anyone interested
  11. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5718253/PETER-CROUCH-feel-embarrassed-guilty-letting-Stoke-fans-down.html PETER CROUCH: "You can get some crazy results on the final day and I have heard it said that we would be happy to get trounced by Swansea if it led to them staying up and Southampton going down, given that Mark is now their manager after leaving us in January. Let me assure you nothing could be further from the truth. I am embarrassed we are bottom of the table – a few weeks ago West Brom were well adrift yet we ended up being relegated before them. To finish the campaign 20th out of 20 would be as bad as it could get. So we will go to Swansea and give it everything. What goes on with other teams is no concern to us. I'm not bothered that a win at Swansea would confirm Southampton's safety, I'm only bothered about getting the win that could stop us finishing bottom. Pride is riding on this game. It should, however, have been so much more. This should have been our cup final. The fact it isn't has left me and many others absolutely heartbroken." ------------------------------------------------------------------------- For those who had any fears- Crouch has spoken! He claims Stoke will go for it.
  12. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11698/11367528/new-football-kits-premier-league-strips-for-the-201819-season kits for other PL teams... presuming they will update this consistently. although- can I point out that despite not being mathematically confirmed, Sky Sports have put us in this and all the other guaranteed clubs for next year
  13. What about Clasie- how much could we get for him I wonder?
  14. this
  15. Ayew curler from outside box at start of 2nd half.
  16. Player: Alex McCarthy Goal: Boufal Although Gabbiadini’s first goal vs Newcastle at home was good, as was Bednarek vs Chelsea (good technique)! I gather from the options and the description provided for the goals vote where it says ‘Will it be a spectacular strike that you go for, or will it be a goal with significant meaning?’ Boufal’s goal vs WBA was neither It was all about his dribbling, pace and composure that. Maybe the club don’t want us to vote for it
  17. He plays for Leicester pal.
  18. Despite what the stats say i keep on thinking we will lose 5-0 and Swansea will win 5-0 I had a dream earlier where Stoke score 7 own goals. Say Swansea beat Stoke 8-0, do you think the PL would do anything? Because it would be suspicious. However, the other way I see it is that if Lambert wants to keep his job- he needs to show he can win against a ‘fellow Championship team’ Cant wait for sunday evening
  19. Good composed finish that from Huddersfield. As good as the feeling was yesterday, 17th place and finishing below all the new promoted sides is shocking. and to think we managed more points in our promotion season- where we didn’t even have a settled keeper, Hooiveld, Fox, Yoshida....
  20. I hope Spurs bottle it. Tbf to Liverpool, they have history, they have trophies, and whilst in recent years the animosity has grown, they are a big club. Spurs on the other hand are the wannabes if you like, and it would be truly brilliant if they moved into their new stadium with no Champions League.
  21. then they look at total goals scored. if the goals scored is also the same- then they would have another game in a neutral location I think (don't think PL uses head to head record)- but they'd only do that if a relegation spot/european spot/title is on the line- it wouldn't happen if huddersfield occupy 18th spot however and us and swansea were joint '16th' per se.
  22. they finished above us in 2012-13 season (our first PL season back up)? remember a very pis*ed off me after losing 4-1 there
  23. oh i see- in which case if Hughes had the hindsight then and if he is charge of the travel plans maybe we should have stayed elsewhere anyway
  24. sorry guys, but could someone explain the hotel fiasco further? Hughes said 'the Swansea Marriott was one of the worst we stayed at', so does that mean we had a 2 day booking in Swansea? so we stayed there first night, and then they kicked us out and didn't get a second night? I just thought we would have one night in Swansea and it was that night at Mariott which got cancelled- hence the move to the Vale- but then why does Hughes say that it was 'one of the worst we stayed at'?
  25. cos hes British and put in the same breath as Pardew, Pulis, Moyes, Hodgson etc etc
