Forget that, keep up the pressure. Adam almost again
-
Done them for two.....we are sometimes the architects of our own demise. Just need to keep it up, we were running them ragged as Spurs are playing quite high. Lets get to 1/2 time and regroup.
-
I hope they do. It's the least we could do......apart from loaning them some players.

I look more like Rickie Gervase
-
And I've also got a few quid riding on this thread as well. Film at 11.
-
I was watching the MOTD highlights on Iplayer at work with some American collegues and I explained the comment between Shearer and Gazza about Rickie and Jay Rod, especially about our journey and the fact that Rickie joined us in League 1 and he has played for England. They reckon that we could have a 'movie of the week' based on what we have and Rickies success, and they mentioned people like Vince Papale and Pride of the Yankees and the Natural. I know that in the UK it may not interest too many, and the fact that Rickie is still playing, but would we make a good film? The Yanks like this sort of thing, success from adversity etc, and the number of 'Soccer' films around are pretty slim. I know it's a peice of fun, but what do you lot reckon? Who could we pick to play the main roles? I'm sure Christian Bale would be happy if he got to use a scouse accent as Rickie. ANd Robert DeNiro as The Don. Over to you
-
You know what? This would make a great game. Perhaps on the PC platform and then expand to other platforms. You could have things like transfers, and meet the media, and team choices, and perhaps whatch the game in a simulated 3D environmrnt. You could call it Manager of Football, or Soccer Manager or Football Manager if you will. You could even update it on a Yearly basis and just include the year as an addition to distinguish it from the previous one the year before.
-
I agree should be a 10 match ban as a minimum. You expect managers to be above all that, they should set an example.
-
Not only do I agree, I would applaud it. They wpould come home having not won, and looking gutted, tired and peed off, after having given 110% to each and every match. Whereas we'll have Gerrard, Rooney et al coming back thinking, well here's to the next one if we can. Drop the lazy, tired, can't be arsed dross that have enough tee-shirts and caps to cover the internal furnishings of a small house, and throw in the future and lose with style, panasche and **** loads of parise for the lads' done good. I'll be honest that i don't like Rooney. He doesn't try hard enough in my opinion and for his talent he should have a better showing in an England shirt as he does for Manure. last night we saw some glimpses of the future, Adam and Luke did themselves, the club and us proud, but this should be the rebuilding of the team NOW, not when the others decide to give up international football. If they aint good enough, drop them, who ever they are.

Team playing so well under Mopo: MYTH
Secret Site Agent replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Muppet Show
The Team playing well under MOPO: Truth and everyone agrees with this. The Team SCORING well under MOPO: MYTH. If Ossie had been the goal machine we all expected, and not a nutbar off the field perhaps we would be doing better, and if Gaston had fitted in straight away, the same. "troll": if the cap fits, "agenda": So easy to destroy, so difficult to create and "he's ruining the forum": Most certainly not! you carry on. the world isn't black and white, thats why it's filled with colourful people. -
The real reason that we sacrificed the cups...
Secret Site Agent replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
I rung up my pal, lets call him Clint, and asked him the question IF this was a viable target. He says NO. You would put in bonus clauses in stages, but not a position but an event. So European football, yes. Not being relegated, yes. Above 8th, highly unlikely. Just based on the fact that this is too arbritary a fiugure and no contracts solicitor in his right minbd would let a client sign up to that. No sucess in the FA cup, oh yes you could. And he finally signed of with, he hasn't seen that anywhere.ever. In any shape or form. But there are production bonus' in there somewhere. He believes In his own opinion. Supposedly. -
For a club our size can anyone name

So what you want is 'Saints the global Brand'. Lets spend 100 million to secure the place we should be. After all, Chelsea did it in what, 3 weeks. And Man U, in an After noon, i recall. Not forgetting Arsenal who became successful in a commercial break. Typical of the 'we just lost in the FA Cup and i SOOOOOOOOOOOO wanted to go to Wembly to see Saints win. It's just not fair. I'm going to shout it out to everyone then i'm going to eat wroms' type of attitude these days. We palyed **** yesterday. Wrong team, wrong spirit, wrong kick off time, wrong location. I'm as ****ed off as the next man. It shouldn't have happened but it did!!!! So get over yourself. It was a bad day at the office. I'll tell you about success. I took my daughter to her first game on the last day we were due to get relegated, so that she could see Saints before they didn't exist any more. We were in league 1 with minus 10, and now we are here. We have spent money, but not wisely on some, and we are 8th in the table. Revel in the fact that we HAVE a club, that we have 3, count them 3, players who have played for England, and 2-3 that are touted to be future England players. Revel in the fact that we are financially safe. revel in the fact that we have a manager who is looked on with envious eyes on what he achieves. Revel in the fact that we get congratulated ont eh way we play by those in the profession who KNOW a whole lot more about the game than you and I. Revel in the fact that we are not Portsmouth and are not in the **** that they are in. Revel in the fact that we are not Coventry with the SISU clowns in charge. Who knows what success we have in the future. But to me, we have some success now by being here and we are not the finished article. Brighton were better than us in League 1, Reading were better than us in Championship, but where are they now? Perhaps I measure success differently than you. And you made me spill my coffee. -
why league season isn't ordinary - Man U's rivals?

I wonder what the stats are of Home counties Manure supporters that are now Chelsea supporters. -

We are certainly living in an interesting time. Fun though. And would be nice to look down on the Mancs and say 'We are richer than yow, better than yow, have a better acadamy than yow, and a better manager then yow.'Just for once. -
It's nice to hear a manager be honest and positive about the opposition, rather than the 'look how ****e we were' rather than 'look how good saints were' world of the big boys. Everyone likes to see us play at the moment.

Official Statement on Sam Gallagher

All my condolences to Sam and his family at this time. -
I'm in. All my hopes are with you.

This one seems pretty good http://lag10.com/channel25

Well to be honest I enjoyed that. Feel that it is 2 points dropped, but come on. 2 Points dropped against the league leaders? HOW FAR HAVE WE COME!!!!!!! Shaw has grown up no doubt, taters were talking of WC at the outside chance. Hope Katherina sat there thinking, 'we could have won this if we had one of them striker persons. I think i'll pop down and see that Herr Maricio and see if we can get one with whats in my pockets. I hope 20 million euros is enough. Oh, wait a minute i've got another 10 million in my,how they say, titfer.' A man can dream, but would be nice though.

Crunch Time And Something Has To Change
Secret Site Agent replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
I don't agree with your comment about top 6 being unreasonable, with a full team and no injuries we can beat anyone, and you can guard against the risk by having depth in positions, which we are lacking, but one or two in a few positions would not effect too much, 8 out and having to rely on our 3rd choice keeper no one could guard against. To say it's unrealistic now is perchance inclusive of a bit of hind-sight? I do agree that we are where we are, and perhaps this can be used as justification to show how we CAN progress, but with a bit cash on back up's in some areas. we are in Limbo at the moment, where a win or loss means nothing as we're going nowhere fast, but if we could just get back to winning ways we can only hope that someone ****s up above us in a big way for us to progress. But this reminds me to much of the old days and it being required for us to stay up. -
