Confident of new owner this week?

50/50 for me at the min. On 1 hand I think the problems will get ironed out and -10 or legal issues or not Pinnacle are too far down the road to give up so we will get somewhere.

However, There have been so many times over the past shed load of years where things should have gone one way or another but didnt I just cant see how things will be any different. I get the feeling that what ever we do, the FL will be co(ks and do what ever thay can to make an example of someone and I fear that they have chosen us.

So things should get sorted out and we can look forward to a future but sods law says we will be the 1st to fold and have to enjoy both winning the league and getting relegated every year in the Super Duper League of 1 sponsered by Lord Malwancky.

100% confident.

100% that we will be bought before season by decent owner

95% that it will be pinnacle

85%, actually feeling more positive 89%, that it will be in time for SFC's staff pay day on Thursday.

I hope you are right - like every other Saints fan I just want this settled so I can buy my season ticket and get on with watching football again

The whole points scenario worries the hell out of me! Whether the league are right or wrong, they will not back down!!! I think most of morally think we deserve 10 point penalty so why don't we accept it!! I am more worried about the mismanagement over the past 4 years that got us to this position! If we hadn't gone into admin, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Ten points isn't huge, therefore i feel there maybe some argument but eventually the FL will not want us to go out of business and lose a huge legal case nor will pinnacle want to walk away from this big investment over 3 wins and a draw.

This is really starting to wind me up now.........WHY should we accept it. As pointed out by another poster, the rules state that you are given a 10 point penalty for trying to gain an advantage by going into administration.

We, as a club did not go into administration, and RL (even though I hate the man) tried everything to stop administration happening.....cripes, we couldn't of cut costs any further, and that cost us our place in the Championship.........so pray tell, what advantage Have we sought to gain???

whilst there is still a chance of this suceeding I will live on that hope....but no not confident. Can see an announcement that Pinnacle can not continue due to FL requirements. I would be happier if TL and MLT were meeting the FL....then a compromise could be reached. With FL meeting on their own I worry that it will just be a FL annoucement of their decision and Pinnacle have to accept it or walk.

Thing is, where did the money go Ging?

How did we ever get in this situation?

The football club is an empty vessel, its lifeblood was the holding company!!

The whole scenario is murky at best, and I don't think the FL will back down!

Really hope I am wrong fella, and that everything gets sorted today!1

I agree........but the money issue is for the new (I hope) owners, and possibly the police. As to being murky........LOL.....that's one word;).

My point is the FL's own rules, if we haven't broken them, why should we be punished. We don't write them, they do, if there is a loophole that can be exploited, then we should go for it. As would any other club in the country, and I include the Tyro in that!!!

It's like we're in injury time in the last game of the season and we need a win to stay up; it's 3-3 and we have a free kick on the edge of the box; step up Matty! Don't mess this one up son.

I'm confident.

As this is football, one is duty bound to use a percentage in excess of 100....(as in "Rooney gave 120% out there today").....so, I'll go for 170%

Arggggghhhh!!!!!!!....I know that was tongue in cheek, but you can't more than 100% of anything....It makes me so mad:mad:;)

I agree when talking about an absolute amount of effort. However....

You start off with a bucket of sand. I then give you another 2 buckets, making 3 buckets. How much more sand do you have now than when you started, as a percentage? ;)

When placed together, you still only have 100% of an amount, take away half of that, and you could argue you only have 50% left:confused:;)

Whilst 10 points is not huge, the principle is I'm afraid. The FL will not want to lose this one. They obvioulsy don't fancy the legal battle and will do all they can to prevent one, hence blackmail.

Split the difference and have done with it. The Football League can save face and announce that they feel they were justified in deducting the 10 points according to Administration regulations, but that new information has come to light and they agree Southampton Football Club was in many ways separate from the holding company ". .............as a result we, the Football League, have decided to an amical agreement and 5 points will be deducted in return for Southampton's new owners agreeing not to take the case to court. AMEN"
