NorthamSteve Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 8-1 to get promotion, any one know the odds before the takeover It was roughly as short as that. I remember 20-1 to win the league was the best price I could find last night, most were offering 14-1.

SaintRobbie Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 I can't believe Strachen is favourite. Someone pinch me. Really? I know we would pretty much all love him back without Lowe to screw him up, but is it really possible?

teamsaint Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 being updated or things more imminent than we thought? price being removed just means the bookies don't want money in on him at any price. Which either means they have massive liabilities, or someone knows something..............(or both)

alpine_saint Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 It could of course be Keegan. Very, very strong links with the German-speaking football world. Can imagine Hr. Liebherr going for that.

Dr Who? Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Think Hoddle was actually our best manager in recent years, not as personable as Strachen tho. Nick I would say that WGS has been our best manager in the last 20 years or so based on a cup final, getting us into Europe and to the top 4. You have to remember he took over a huge mess to. I liked the style of football Hoddle had us playing and it was the first time for a long time we could defend. I think WGS just about get the nod ahead of Hoddle. Rut Posted 9 July, 2009 Share Posted 9 July, 2009 Hey if Strachan does come back then I'll be able to dig out all my 'On the March with Strachan's Army' flags that I picked up dirt cheap after the 2003 Cup Final. Think I've got a few t-shirts I shipped over as well. I bet you'd see a fair few coming out the back the of wardrobe if he is appointed. Who was Celtic's star player under Strachan? Surely we can steal him?
