Huddersfield build-up thread

With only 5th and 6th spots catchable for Saints this game is huge! Huddersfield are currently in 5th and like 6th Swindon have a game in hand(2 for Swindon) and 10 points infront. Lose/draw it and extremely unlikely to make the playoffs. Win and a reasonable chance remains although would still be tough.

I see that the OS has had a bit of a time warp, it's trawling up all the articles concerning the game against Huddersfield in August. See what I meant about crap

No if you actually look that section says "related articles". It is using Huddersfield as a key word. Nothing wrong with that at all as that is what it is meant to do. Some may want to look back at articles last time we played and that is the type of thing that section of the new page is designed to do. There is a separate section for "latest news".

That's because they have corrected it,when I looked all the Huddersfield stuff was in the Latest News.

If it is postponed it will be annoying, as I have to go back up to London on Sunday, but it might not be such a bad thing for the team. As stated above, this is a pretty key game if we want to reach the play-offs, so if the extra time we get allows us to sign a couple more players and integrate them into the team, I won't be too annoyed.

Quite frankly, I don't see any new signings until the snow melts, and this will be a tough one for people to get to. Besides, I can't make this game, so there's a chance I could make the re-arranged game! (Selfish I know...)

If it gets postponed, it also gives us time to bring in a few more players, thus strengthening our team when we do eventually play them.

If the game does go ahead, then I fully expect the 11 players that are picked to go out there and work their nut sacks off. This game could be reguarded as a six pointer if we believe we can make the play-offs, and anything other than a win would be unacceptable.

We've got to put the Leeds and Colchester results out of our minds. That said, we haven't been playing too well of late, and this will end up a draw. (If it goes ahead.)

2-2 (Many goals as the players will want to run around a lot to keep from freezing.)

I would have thought a postponement is the last thing we need. With games already needing to re-arranged due to FA Cup, plus a potential day out at the JPT final causing another postponed league game - the end of season fixture list could be a bit chaotic.

That could easily cost us a play-off place which is why we should not be taking the FA Cup too seriously and resting key players in those games.

hush, media stoodent boy.

Media Student > curmudgeonly professional miserablist who when faced with any kind of silver lining goes in search of the dark cloud...

All IMHO obviously (one that is probably shared by many right thinking people on here).

Did you REALLY expect us to do all our deals by now?

The quality of player we 'need' are likely to have other options to consider and I would expect them to be interesting CCC teams as well as other top League 1 teams.

So TRY (really, really hard) to be patient and you MAY even be pleasantly surprised... if it's possible for you find anything 'pleasant' that is.

Agreed. Although i feel the need to point out that my degree is in Product Design and far from being a "stoodent" i am in full time employment as i have been for the last six years.

It may please alpine to know that i am presently taking a short course in advanced web design however...as i know he likes to keep up with how my life is progressing.

Still like a small child that once says something that people laugh at i'm sure he'll keep saying it until everyone is rolling their eyes in utter boredom. "Yes dear..."

Of course the fact that two bids were placed certainly doesn't mean that we should expect to be signing the players within days. It is obvious that Pardew is testing the water and that the process takes time. Obvious to anyone with a media degree that is...
