They will shut the north carpark to Saints fans after the game and will also keep the Skates in for 15 min or so.
Dannyboy_Saint Posted 10 February, 2010 Share Posted 10 February, 2010 Hope not! I've got 30 mins to get from St Mary's back to Eastleigh before i need to start work and it was a monumental struggle to even get that amount of time off (was supposed to start at 13.30)! Just hope someone else on here can remember it.

You are both sharing the same bad dream. It never happened. Under what circumstances do you think OB decided to keep 20, 25K(?) home fans hanging around in 4 sides of the ground while 1,2,5K(?) away fans from one section trundled off home ? You've both been at Granny's sherry. They must be playing around mate. It's definitely never happened. Perhaps they're thinking of the cup game at SMS where Crouchie scored that penalty, where we stayed in the ground for about 10minutes just singing at the Skates. Nobody left for ages, so perhaps they're getting confused with this - but the skates were the ones being held in not us.
GazzerMaBoy Posted 11 February, 2010 Share Posted 11 February, 2010 A good mate of mine who is a Pompey fan and is attending the game has told me they all got a note with their tickets warning them that they'll be kept in for a short while after the match and apologising for the inconvenience. Now you mention, it I too have a recollection of crowd control being handled badly at a Pompey game. I've got a feeling that we may have been let out marginally later than Pompey and that the Saints fans were all herded down Belvidere Road while the Pompey fans were herded down Britania Road. ladysaint Posted 11 February, 2010 Author Share Posted 11 February, 2010 Sorry I did get it a bit wrong, but as Saint Bletch said above I had to move from block 42 and went to the Itchen we were kept behind barriers and were not permitted to walk down Britannia Road and told to wait until they cleared the Pompey fans. I could not understand why they didnt let us all out first and keep them in, it made it difficult for people to get to Northam road.

I park in Wilson street at a mates garage, when they were last here I was escorted to my car because they did not believe me, due to the blockades was one of the quickest ive ever been able to get out.
