AP really rates Puncheon and said he was the best on the field against Bolton, so I highly doubt he will lose his place.

I think he will replace Hammond, sometimes. Schneiderlin plays something of a holding role, so having Guly next or in front of him would be a good combination from an attacking perspective and provide a good balance in midfield. But then Hammond is there when we need to control and close out games.

In reality, Guly could replace any of our attacking midfielders and wingers, so that sort of competition for places is more than welcome and does give us options to change things around during the game.

But given the fact none of us have seen him play, Guly could just as easily replace somebody on the bench or in the stands.

As someone else suggested...Thank goodness we can release Ant Pulis now....

Let the boy get on with his career....We have held him back for far too long...

Now we have that good old Goalkeeper Bartram on the books we can release Forecast now...

Things can only get better..

Forgot Mr Bartram is about 95..........Well not to worry..still able to release Forecast..

Doubt anyone is hiring deckchair attendants this late in the season!

If anyone has researched Guly they will

know he fits behind a striker and not as part of central

2. He is most likely to replace Barney in the starting lineup but not immediately!

Pardew's view " "He's a player who excelled in Serie B - he's a central midfielder who is comfortable in possession."

Not that I necessarily agree but I think Pards will drop Barnard and go with a 4-5-1 formation, getting as many peeps forward whenever possible and having Schneiderlin and/or Hammond sitting back to protect the defence. Lallana and Puncheon supporting Lambert and Guly getting forward too with the other two CMs sounds pretty tastey, but then I'm not too sure where Guly plays best
