saint1977 Posted 8 January, 2009 Share Posted 8 January, 2009 Yup, he's gone untill the end of the season. So that's him gone then as he's out of contract at the end of the season. So much for the big reputation in the summer. Bournemouth don't want to take Ollie Lancashire as well do they? I would say McGoldrick but he actually pulled his finger out V Reading, hopefully not a flash in the pan. McGoldrick will still end up being a League 2 player in the end. Why we are helping those muppets after the sick Andrews seaplane chants is beyond me. If we're paying the wages couldn't a decent club with semi-decent fans like Aldershot have had him? Saint_clark Posted 8 January, 2009 Share Posted 8 January, 2009 Don't understand why we keep sending players to them, Bournemouth fans are never grateful and always try to make out there is a rivalry between us and them.
Big Ron fan Posted 8 January, 2009 Share Posted 8 January, 2009 When the OS gets round to announcing it, will it be under the heading of 'Saints Reduce Striking Options'? Or perhaps they can combine it with the existing Jamie White announcement and put it under a revised heading of 'Saints swap one sort-of League 2 striking option for another'. I'm not knocking the two kids, just the crap that comes out of the OS!
SuperSAINT Posted 8 January, 2009 Share Posted 8 January, 2009 Seriously, i don't think it's a bad idea giving our nippers 1st team action in the lower leagues, given where we're probably going to end up next season. James, Gobern, Thomson, White, Patterson etc. Should have been loaned out before they played for our 1st team IMO.

southamptonfclegend Posted 8 January, 2009 Share Posted 8 January, 2009 why is it strange he looks nowhere near good enough when i've seen play, way to lightweight and no end product...
Andy_Porter Posted 8 January, 2009 Share Posted 8 January, 2009 why is it strange he looks nowhere near good enough when i've seen play, way to lightweight and no end product... Because we're currently playing either Ryan Smith who has even less end product or Adam Lallana who just isn't cut out for right wing. Other than that we have BWP who could possibly do a job there. The Godfather Posted 9 January, 2009 Share Posted 9 January, 2009 This will do him good I think, the lad needs toughening up a bit as he seems a bit lightweight for the Championship at the moment.
SoccerMom Posted 9 January, 2009 Share Posted 9 January, 2009 Re the spelling, TBF the Beeb got it wrong, too. They've corrected it on the story page itself but not on the link from the Southampton page. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/default.stm Poor bloke - must drive him mad. Anyway, first team football (if he gets it) will do him good. Yes, he's lightweight for the CCC but he was quality in the reserves last year. Will be sorry to see him offloaded at the end of the season as I think he has a future - this must be the plan as they won't be able to renew contracts, yes? Pilchards Posted 11 January, 2009 Share Posted 11 January, 2009 Bournemouth's first team and the academy had there games called off so they instead went to the beach for a long run. Guess what? If thats true, and i have no reason to doubt Pilchards especially, that is disgraceful and says a hell of a lot about why the "boysh" are tired playing two games in a week. Whitey Grandad Posted 11 January, 2009 Share Posted 11 January, 2009 If thats true, and i have no reason to doubt Pilchards especially, that is disgraceful and says a hell of a lot about why the "boysh" are tired playing two games in a week. It's been pretty obvious from the performances on the pitch. They get physically tired in the last 20 minutes and that leads to mental tiredness and sloppy mistakes. It's easy to remedy but to leave it 27 games is criminal.
