It's the final chance to save our country, a battle of good against evil, the people making a last stand against the establishment, plucky Nige, sword and shield in his hand, the man on the street, standing up for us against the woke leftie/righty elite, in a battle that can only be decided by one set of individuals, yes, the people of Clacton will crown the victor...

 

Though his feeble stunt has already backfired and become Nige having a pointless debate with a bloke wearing a bin on his head.

He could learn from Jonathan Aitkin - "If it falls to me to start a fight to cut out the cancer of bent and twisted journalism in our country with the simple sword of truth and the trusty shield of British fair play, so be it. I am ready for the fight."

Heartening to read about people such as Farage and Aitken standing up for the values of truth, fairness and decency we all hold so dear. They are inspirations.

Whilst I can’t stand Polanski, Hannah Chambers has her head screwed on and gets it spot on. Farage is as establishment as any of the other parties and certainly a grifter. Makes Boris look like a grafter by comparison. And has security concerns of her own.

Firstly, I don’t vote Labour. Secondly, whilst Starmer would have been well-advised to leave alone freebie tickets and nice suits/ties/sunglasses along having promised to be different (he didn’t come into power with great popularity anyway and that dragged it down further straight away) we are taking about what £20k tops? Still don’t like it but it’s not even in the same league structure or sphere of sleaze and corruption as Farage. 

There’s a chasm of difference to that and receiving a £5m bung from a crypto billionaire for purposes unclear judging by the pou pourri of answers at interviews over the last month, when there’s clearly been a subsequent attempt to lobby the BoE on cryptocurrency without any real assessment of the economic risks (fortunately Andrew Bailey has his head screwed on).

As for the Green MP, she’s a plumber just like Reform’s candidate in Makersfield with her own business, just minus the racism and homophobia. Statistically she’s absolutely correct with facts you can’t argue with without looking like a fruitcake - Farage’s attendance record in Parliament and in his constituency is fucking woeful. Just two of an iceberg of data - his voting participation rate is a pathetic 33.5%, 69 out of 206 votes over the last two years. That puts him in the bottom 8% of all MPs.

Farage has spoken just 45 times in Parliament. Compare this to 92 for Badenoch, 111 for Davey and 152 for the Greens. 

It gets worse, he’s mentioned Clacton TWICE in the last year https://www.desmog.com/2026/07/07/nigel-farage-has-mentioned-clacton-only-twice-in-commons-during-past-year/

He’s not engaged at all on the Clacton Regeneration Board. This would normally have the local MP on it even if they’re a leader, or a delegate. But nothing. I sat on the board where we lived before on top of a full-time job managing 25 staff and generating millions of pounds of income and wasn’t paid a penny.

He’s spent more time in America than Clacton kissing Vance’s arse because Trump can’t be bothered with him.

PS - any responses on your hero’s Dunblane comments?

I honestly don't know how anyone could have believed he would be any different once elected. His record as an MEP was even worse.

For years and years he bleated on about how British fishermen were being let down by the EU. Yet when he got himself onto the Fisheries Committee, where he could have actually had some influence to try and improve things for the very people he was pretending to give a shit about, he only bothered to turn up to one out of something like 48 meetings. 

He's nothing but a fraud and a grifter. It's been obvious from the moment he caught the attention of the public with his attention-seeking "Who are you?" monologue in Brussels. He's a shameless charlatan with the moral integrity of a whole nest of vipers. Quite how anyone could be so fucking stupid as to be taken in by such a blatant self-serving bullshitter is beyond my comprehension.

There's a target market for sure. So many people are sold on them, and they seem to take a "let's just give them a go" attitude. By all means do that with a takeaway or something, but not a government. 

As for seeing Farage (or Lowe) as the saviour of the average man. The mind boggles.

Forensic evidence will be crucial as whilst the police are hoping for Ring/doorbell footage, there isn’t much in the way of housing up there and bar the road winding its way through from Newton Abbott to Widecombe on the Moor (stunning scenery) other than the National Parks shop and car park, it’s pretty remote when you get out into the moorland and former quarry up there.
