Spors more than happy to sit down and have a chat...

Have wondered if the appointment of Tonda, who Spors had brought to the club, and is said  to have wanted his appointment, shows a bit of shift or  endorsement of his position in the pecking order/power struggle.

May of course be conspiracy bollocks, so pure speculation.

Hoping that with his key man in place it will see him commit for a couple of seasons. We can’t continue the revolving door for key posts

He was very clear in his interview today that he loves it here and won't be going anywhere, so we should be able to hang on to him for a couple of months.

So perhaps he’ll stay longer than Wilcox. So that’s two days after Easter before he announces he’s off.

Love how this fucking chump delays being interviewed until we are in the middle of a purple patch of form, then quickly wheels himself out for a nice cosy chat, and now is conveniently hunkered away during the inevitably shit results that have followed when his kindergarten manager, sorry “head coach” has inevitably  started to struggle

Given Spors seemingly only agrees to do interviews when we're playing well, it looks like we've got a fair while to wait until the next one...

Yeah I hated that, I didn't even really take in those puff pieces. It's a shame the media didn't push back and ask why didn't they let me interview you when we were struggling? They used the 5 wins as an opportunity to pat themselves on the back, look at what we've done, hope the fans lap it up nonsense. No, we won't. You've failed. 5 games doesn't change that.

"Squad planning is an art that only becomes clear at the end" ~ Johannes Spors, August 2025.

Well I hope the end comes soon then, because from where I'm sat we're more than half way through and you appear to have built a shower of dogshit managed by a one-trick yes-man with no idea how to change a game.

Well at least he’s got his little puppet and project boy in charge now anyway. 5 games without a win and counting. As bad now as under Still

On the face of it he’s had a disaster since he joined us, but will always consider he may be given very specific instructions from above that limit what he’s able to do , we will never know for sure how much are his decisions

however

management / coaching staff appointments - 2/10

player recruitment - 3/10, completely unbalanced bloated squad missing key elements required for the championship , I like Fellows and Scienza but they can’t carry us

DAMION DOWNS - possibly worst saints player I have seen in 40 years

Agree, Alfie House made clear on the podcast how hard he’d tried to get an interview during the bad run under Still so made clear it wasn’t for lack of trying, Spors was hiding away scared to talk , time to invite him for an update Alfie

Perhaps an end of window review might be in order

Didn't he also say that the decision not to allow it came from above rather than Spors himself?

Which is probably even worse than Spors himself refusing it.

Quite damning really.

I know some say Rasmus is the easy target, but in the absence of any other explanation or someone putting themselves forward as the brains and driving force behind the club, all roads seem to lead to him.

Dragan had a bit of goodwill last season, talking of a reset and so on, but if Rasmus is still in his ear then both deserve all the critiscism they get.

Yes, but who is going to get the message across to Dragan so that is understood ?

Alternatively, how many million is he prepared to lose before he learns it for himself?

You've hit the nail on the head there. We've recruited so many midfielders, a couple of whom are quite talented at this level, but the all important spine of the team is the weakest it's been for a long time and one of the weakest in the Championship this season.

It beggars belief that anyone should have to tell him.  I’m staggered that he’s a successful businessman.

But they won't hire football people, will they?

Someone on the first interview saying, "I want to do things old school, I value experience and tired and tested methods, and no tippy tappy at the back". He wold be out the door 5 min into the interview.

They will only hire someone who will have the same ideas they have

We have some decent individuals but too often we don't resemble a team, in terms of the personnel we've recruited, the roles they play, how they complement each other to make a whole, and how and where they are utilised by the manager.

We're lopsided, dysfunctional and missing too many key components of a successful team - a reliable goalkeeper, an organising defender and a strong physical presence up front, to name but three.

Exactly. If Dragan is a magnet for buffoons ,and taking their advice  in his business career, as he has as a football club owner, he'd have been bankrupt years ago.

So why aren't these questions being asked externally ?

Rhetorical question, as we know Alfie House and Adam go into interviews - when the club permit them - bowing and scraping, kissing arses so as not to offend. Perhaps Adam should invite Rasmus and Dragan onto a phone in, for questions that have not been previously vetted.

How about coming out and having a chat now, Spors?

All of the bollocks from your interview a few weeks ago felt bollocks the moment I read it, It was hollow and full of 'look how well we did' nonsense, using it as an opportunity to manipulate the fanbase into thinking the club knew what they were doing. I saw right through it.

Like the players who were too scared to face the fans yesterday he's a coward who is quite happy to take the plaudits when things are going well but turns into a timid mouse when the chips are down.

Get the sense some of the players are starting to resent the fans and the stick they get, we'll end up with another Nathan Wood telling them to fuck off again soon

If that's their feeling, then I can assure them that the feeling is perfectly mutual. Off they all fuck.

I don't see that at all. Personally, I would rather have players that have a little fight and temper in them, but all I see are shrinking fucking cunts...

Paul Tisdale sacked as DOFO at Celtic today. Would probably trust him to do a much better and engaged job at SFC than Spors.

Probably far too independent and concerned about Saints to be let near the job under Rasmus in any case.

Unfortunately, he actually played the game so that rules him out.

We are only interested in laptop wankers.

I swear if Solak had a data company he would get Graeme Souness in to run it.

Agree mate, far too logical. Tisdale would at least be prepared to move locally and give a shit. If only there was someone like Souness in Solak’s ear. I reckon the clubs horoscope would be spelled out over a single glass of wine.

Solak would love Souness' anecdote about how he signed Ali Dia as well, a pivotal moment in our clubs history

Let’s be honest, he’s made some reasonable signings of a couple of skill full wide men  and a handy CM, but other than that, he’s signed a raw CB who wasn’t what we needed at this particular time - we needed an experienced leader shithouse at the back to organise and take control, and he’s signed an absolutely horrific striker, the worst in the clubs history when all things considered, when there was a huge priority for this part of the recruitment to be successful, which wasn’t actually hard given our budget and the standard of the league. Yet he somehow fucked that up big time. He’s also wasted time signing a ridiculous 3rd choice keeper and putting no pressure on our already terrible first choice keeper, and has only recently attempted to sort this, halfway through the season once our terrible first choice keeper has shown himself to be - terrible.

He’s also presided over the biggest cluster fuck of 2 managerial appointments, even by Sport Republics standards. Combine that with his cowardly behaviour and only wanting to speak when things are going well, and I’ve come to the conclusion that he’s another egotistical and clueless loser who thinks he’s a lot better and cleverer than he actually is. Another utterly loathsome character to add to the list that are running this club

His role is to sign players that SR may make a profit on. He's not there to build a side that could mount a promotion challenge. It's all about turning a profit.
