No we don't

Well a quick google will tell you!

Carnival spent a lot of time and money distancing themselves from P&O ferries.

P&O cruises pay staff well and always have no issues getting staff I work at terminal!!

If you still dont know the difference then suggest you do some research and stop digging yourself further .

Has decimalisation reached Kent yet?

Is that the same bloke we sacked last season who now manages Rangers?

My point is that P&O has been what we now call a brand so despite there being different firms with P&O in the title the general public will think of P&O as connected but I understand your point that the P&O cruise firm are a good employer !

Funnily enough Kent isn’t thought very highly of by the rest of the country when it comes to boats.

I can assure you that not many people in Kent are either but thanks to brexit we have taken control of our borders . Unfortunately it has cost our economy £40 Billion so far and migrants think the UK is a better bet as it's not in the EU so no going back. Who'd of thought it ?

Send them this then:

Southampton Football Club 🤝 @pandocruises

We are delighted that after our first year of partnership, P&O Cruises are now also front of shirt sponsor for Southampton Football Club Men's First Team and Academy!

The whole team at Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) have been immense supporters of the work we do in the community across multiple events, fundraising opportunities and projects ❤️

Both have the name Martin though so you’ll understand why I’d identify them as the same person.

No most people know the difference have a google at how many travel with P&O Cruises per year from Southampton who don’t seem as bothered as you Kentish folk.

Carnival UK contributes significantly to Southampton's economy, with each ship turnaround bringing in up to £2.5 million so again most people seem to know the difference apart from Kent residents

P&O cruises and ferries are distinctly different companies. What P&O Ferries did to their staff has no connection what so ever with P&O cruises, as they are separately owned companies without any connection to one an other. P&O Cruises is thoroughly embedded into Carnival as their overall owner. It's kinda like kicking up a fuss if Microsoft took us over, because you didn't like what Apple had done.

P&O Cruises are the proper boats which leave Southampton and go all over Europe and the world, P&O ferries are the noddy lot who base themselves out of skatesville.

Yeah, but they're both called P&O, so there's that...

anyone know if P&O Crusies are part of P&O Ferries?

Not following all this, but if they’re part of another group, or were at one time, does that mean they’re cup tied ?

And hypothetically would it limit our chances of playing in European competition should we qualify ?

Luckily any Kent based Saints fans who don't want to be associated with P&O can buy the new shirt from that far -east website without a sponsor on

You could. But there might be a shipping charge. And until they confirm that ship won't be a P&O ferry, it's a trigger risk. 🙂

I'd love to know what you're doing to bring 2.5 million into the UK economy in September. 🙂

I'll let you into a secret, it involves a P&O ferry ;)

Wow. I've heard of people who have a thing for car exhausts. But to take on the loading bay of a ferry is quite something. I can see where the money's coming from now. 🙂

So far SR have done their utmost best to model the club on the proverbial Titanic - perhaps this is the final jigsaw piece in that aim?

In all seriousness, to be fair this is a good move as it’s nice to see a proper connection with the city instead of the dubious branding of recent years.

(…yes MLG, I know P&O were not connected to the Titanic 🙄).

Now, you say that but.......

Cunard acquired the White Star Line just after the war and went on to become part of the Carnival Corporation who also own, yes you've guessed it, the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company :)

There's a tenuous link, to be fair, as Carnival own both P&O and Cunard. The latter bought out the White Star Line sometime after they got into financial troubles because one of their boats sank.

you beat me to it!

Here's a reminder of the attempt of P & O Cruises (Our sponsor) to educate people that they are not P & O Ferries (not our sponsor)

it obviously didn't reach some areas

I feel another skate fairy (ahem...ferry) tale coming soon to go along with the mythical "dock strike".

How many times are we going to hear that mentioned next season?
