One way traffic unsurprisingly. Just wondering whether it was a good idea to organise a pre-season friendly where Saints hardly ever touch the ball.

What's bed wetting about pointing out that that is a very uninspiring and poor lineup a week out from the season starting? Ramsdale gone, Fernandes seemingly off, Dibling not playing, no Aribo, youth player in cm, Ryan Fraser suddenly in the starting 11, downgrades in defence in the shape of Bree, Stephens continuing at CB, the bench stacked full of youth players. Yes we will bring in reinforcements but that's not going to help us next week and probably for a good few games which makes starting the season well that much harder.

Its bed wetting, the front line is fine, midfield will have Downes back, it wouldn’t surprise me if we start with either MF or TD

The defence is fine, im no Stephens fan but he’s probably better ok at this level and we have THB and Edwards

Baz/McCarthy despite soggy knickers are mid table quality, we probably could do with an improvement but its not disastrous

Its bed wetting

We all know we can’t buy until we sell, we aren’t getting a winger/No.10 until we sell MF/TD because whats the point

Baz is not mid table quality, not even close.

I didn't mention the front line, I think that's probably alright. What is your definition of bed wetting? Because expressing some concern about the lineup just before the season starts is entirely reasonable criticism. Bazunu was statistically the worst keeper in the league the last time he had a season. If Fernandes and Dibling are still here then they should be playing.

Baz looks to have improved in the 21 mins I have seen

You know it is a warm up friendly right?

Very much so, and here we are a week from our opening game against a pumped up Wrexham side that everyone not linked to Saints will want them to win, and we’ve looked poor all preseason, and are picking the same shite players expecting a different result.

Pre-season results generally mean fuck all. I get the concern but I’m prepared to wait before talking about manager being out of his depth

Bree and Stephens on that right hand side of defence is a huge concern.

Positives so far are Sesay and Charles. Archer also looks half decent despite playing out of position.

Yep. He's working with hands tied as well. Can't be easy trying to prepare with players who want out / we want to move on.

I'll judge once the season is up and running and he's got a settled squad.

I don't think it's the manager. It's the players that concern me.

No judgement on Still, can see him walking mid-season if Spors doesn’t have a better August on strengthening his first XI.

Yeah I was responding to poster claiming he was out of his depth

I see we're treating it like a training match rather then building momentum for next week. Mostly players flopping about.

No different to 2024/25 in entirety tbf.

#we flop on
