We've made a few sales since then and got wages off the books Cup runs would have added some extra unexpected funds this season with trips to Anfield and Wembley, hopefully Dragan has sorted out his business troubles. 1

Perhaps now those fans that think staying down is a good thing will change their minds. Next season team if we do stay down will be a lot weaker as we cut costs accordingly. I’m not sure we’ve breached PSR as we made a profit in our promotion winning season. I also don’t think even Dragan and the loons would not have sanctioned a £50 million spending spree if we were close. I’d have thought a lot of the losses would have been recouped with the sales last summer which I think happened in July / August so wouldn’t have been included in these accounts. What's he doing now? Surprised journos haven't been asking this question over the last 6 - 9 months (seemingly) 2
Saint_clark Posted Monday at 09:03 Posted Monday at 09:03 From what I read in there it doesn't seem we are anywhere close to breaching PSR? 1
Ex Lion Tamer Posted Monday at 09:32 Posted Monday at 09:32 (edited) There should surely be a rule that football club accounts have to be drawn up on a year end 31 August basis to cover the summer transfer window Edited Monday at 09:33 by Ex Lion Tamer

SaintsLoyal Posted Monday at 22:05 Posted Monday at 22:05 We will need to sell to buy players if we stay in the Champ. The Shea Charles situation isnt good and we can ill afford to lose money on contracts being run down. He should at least do the honourable thing and a year or two on contract with a fixed transfer price. I think the overall debt situation needs to be tackled with no movement in five years and millions being spent on interest charges.
OldNick Posted Tuesday at 09:22 Posted Tuesday at 09:22 I note that Dragan is charging 5.5% interest. In reality getting promotion to the PL was not quite the land of milk and honey as the wage bill increases dramatically. If we happen to go up I assume we wont be able to spend big to try and stay up?
O_B Posted Tuesday at 10:01 Posted Tuesday at 10:01 The total club debt must now be close to 1/4 billion.
Willo of Whiteley Posted Tuesday at 10:14 Posted Tuesday at 10:14 Shea Charles will be sold this summer, I think, regardless of promotion or not. I’d take £20M for him

The contract will stipulate that I think, we'll have to sell him this summer to avoid losing an asset for £0 - unless he signs a new deal, which I'm honest is unlikely unless promotion happens.
OldNick Posted Tuesday at 11:58 Posted Tuesday at 11:58 Surely Charles is worth more than 20m, we got 35m for Dibling FFS

They have a clause enabling them to extend him for a year, so that shouldn't be an immediate issue. Southampton clause means they have no worries about Charles contract | Daily Echo 2
