I suspect that it's already been agreed, but hopefully, now that we've got the first meeting for a few years out of the way, people can be trusted to make their own way there.

I'd be interested to know the cost in policing the fixtures with and without a bubble. Maybe someone can submit a FOI request to find out...?

When i spoke to the FSA around the time of the lsat fixture they said that it was other clubs FAB's that had got the bubble removed, and cited in particular Newcastle/Sunderland, saying that the fans boards were instrumental in getting their bubble removed.

Sadly our current FAB seem to be wet blankets who are more than happy to roll over and have their belly tickled by the club and police, instead of making the case that a sizeable chunk of the support don't want to be treated like criminals for going to a game.

Also the irony is that more people were arrested for Fratton away last season with the bubble than were in the league cup without it, so even their argument about safety doesn't hold up.

The vast majority of fans were able to enjoy the derby in safety, we could travel in comfort and enjoy the hospitality inside Fratton Park whilst sampling the South Coast Derby atmosphere in a peace. The only people who feel it was ruined are the drunken thugs wishing to engage in low intelligence verbal jousting, or worse. I applaud the FAB for their hard work and when i am sworn i will make it my mission to ensure more matches are rewarded with the safe,  bubble style transportation our wonderful fanbase deserves.

They didn’t last season. They never actively pushed for the bubble, the clubs did.

There’s a detailed post on the fab F.A.B thread which states Hampshire police had already drawn up plans prior to a meeting with fans and the respective clubs safety teams and the bubble was their decision. Whilst the FAB might not have pushed back on the bubble as a whole they did raise complaints about the timings of the whole thing.

Given they were patting themselves on the back about the whole thing I’m sure Hampshire will be forcing the bubble again next season. They can’t afford anymore bad publicity.

The amount the OB spent on the 2 games would have been cheaper just to have the games as normal.  
 

They had helicopters, countless officers, sterile zones etc. A complete waste of money just to ruin everyone’s match day experience, restrict your freedoms for travel choices and make themselves feel important.

Pretty sure the bubble is cheaper than a normal game. They'd still use the helicopter etc for a normal game.
