'Arry. 'triffic at interviews. 'trffic lad, 'triffic signing. He's 50 years old, he's 'triffic.
  2. Yes and no - it's not just Sky is it? It's the BBC and every paper going. I read the Metro on my morning commute, which is supposed to be a UK-wide paper, Saints got a small paragraph about the cup match (compared to Jose, sorry, Man Utd's 2 pages) and barely any mention of the Europa League win. Also, did you know Hesketh scored with his right foot? They're so f**king ambivalent towards any clubs other than the usual suspects that they can't even be f**king bothered to watch the game/goals and get their facts right. Yet, they'll dribble on for a page about Rooney or Zlatan or Jose. It's just ridiculous.
  3. Appreciate what you're saying. Speaking for me only, I have lost interest in the 'premier league' and the ridiculous circus that goes with it. I love Saints and I don't care where we play or what we do (although a cup final would be lovely), but the whole circus around the premier league can do one. Jose this, Pogba that, suck Klopp's klopp, Pep Pep Pep, Conte, Pep, Pep, Conte, Jose, Pogba. A little Wenger, but he's boring. Some team called Leicester? Pep Pep Pep Jose Pep Pep, Conte, Pogba, Old Trafford, Pep. It's tedious.
  4. That'll do, home again - they need to travel the sh*t distance midweek, perfect.
  5. Really impressed with Hesketh and his passing, goal was the icing on the cake, well done him! Martina great again - I think I prefer his physical presence to Soares in the side, especially if we're playing titchy midfielders. I though Clasie was good, JWP was good, Fonte was back to looking more like Fonte and although Long should have scored, both he and Austin were very good again. Big shout to Targett, he looked like he was enjoying his football and reminded me of that good spell he had in Jan/Feb under Koeman. Oh yes, McCarthy good in goal too, looked solid. Just a great team effort.
  6. Just keep pasting http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/tickets/ into a new browser tab. If you get the queue, kill the tab and do it again. Eventually you'll hit the server that is more free and let you straight in - just got mine. Numbered just under 5000.
  7. Of course it says that, they HAVE to say that!
  8. Indeed, but hey ho, I'll be there regardless!
  9. I hear you, but then they've probably spent 40/50 years going along and moaning. Some people just like a f**king good moan. I bet they still found something to moan about after we spanked Sunderland 8-0 ... "too much sideways passing" or "we'd have scored 10 if we'd signed xyz"
  10. Exactly this! Trouble is, it's easy to be negative and the sky/football manager generation want to either reboot the game to win or just expect to be Man Utd. Unfortunately the Dave Jones era started 19 years ago and we haven't played at the Dell for 16 years, so that's a huge generation gap that doesn't appreciate the 'position' of Saints in the football pyramid. Christ, it's now over 11 years ago we were relegated FFS.
  11. Good!!
  12. + cover for the defence ...
  13. Naive to think otherwise to be honest!
  14. This. Lightweight c*nts.
  15. I'm sure having Woodward around was seen as 'triffic by Rupert though
  16. Although the first time round was "too soon" for football.
  17. Surely they'll be gone by the end of the week? You'd think so with the amount of people 'worried' about not getting a ticket anyway ... ?
  18. This is great - I know that campaign is fairly recent and I'm delighted the club have listened and taken action.
  19. I think 'losing interest in top flight football' might be more appropriate? That's exactly how I feel. I can't be bothered with MoTD, I don't want Sky, I'm not bothered about watching any matches live on TV other than Saints. I love Southampton, it's my place of birth, my home town team and I am drawn towards them no matter what. I love meeting mates for beers and a catch up before or after a match, I love it when we win and I get annoyed when we lose. But football on the whole can do one. I've already said it this season; Jose this, Pep that, Conte Conte Conte, Klopp Klopp Klopp, Pogba, wow, Pogba, ooooo Pogba, Zlatan, Zlatan Zlatan, £1bn spent, isn't football great. No, it's tedious, dull and followed by complete helmets who lap up everything Sky Sports tell them. I read one quote on some forum by an overseas 'supporter' of Liverpool who said "I love Klopp, I will support wherever he goes". Then you have Toure's agent who said "if Manchester City don't play Toure, all their fans will support United". Seriously? Do one, f**k off. I hope there is a super league and they take all their tediousness with them, I want to watch Saints play decent football, with players who CARE and WANT to be here. I want an occasional FA Cup run to the final and to enjoy more wins than losses. And currently yes, a trip to Europe is good fun - for us fans. I loved the Saints team of the L1 and Championship season and the first season back in the Premier League, but since then, bar Jose and Kelvin, who else is there to like as a player? They're all after the same thing, money and a move to a 'big club' who'll pay them that. Sod off. Give me Saints in an English league with all the 'big clubs' playing some world league sh*t.
  20. Thought it was a very good performance personally. Bit of sh*t refereeing, but we missed some decent chances, as did they. This team will be okay this season and Boufal should add a very nice extra dimension if he's all he's made out to be. Wenger's teams are no mugs - they won't win the title I wouldn't think, but they'll be up there again.
  21. Hilarious, you utter helmet.
  22. Ridiculous idea. Football already is a complete waste of natural resources by encouraging fans to fly and drive all over Europe to follow their teams, this will just create even more pollution and waste more resources. I also have beef with the semi finals being played at Wembley, especially between two northern teams - why can't they use Old Trafford, Anfield, Man City's ground etc., rather than making 80,000 people waste energy to travel to London?
