I never, EVER look at the official site as white text on a black background is a UX no and it just completely f**ks with my eyes. Whoever designed that site format and the colour scheme needs firing.

Shamefully, I will admit I've stopped listening to/watching the conferences of YouTubes clips as I've found them all very dull. They don't seem to have the same spark as before. Maybe once the season kicks in and we're top of the league I will be more interested as it could just be that we had a great season and pre-season whilst always being boring, is just a huge come down. The younger ones look like they've got more potential as the older ones were stunted in their development the last year or 2. I was gutted we lost Koeman, but his regime whilst being awesome for the 1st team, did nothing for the youngsters - they needed to be more involved with the 1st team squad as they were under Pochettino. Oh well, it's done now. Hopefully many of them can get good loans and grow. If we get 1 or 2 from that list in the first team, then that'll be great. Open questions - where is Callum Slattery? Where is Jason McCarthy? Ta.

Just thinking about who is still to come back into the team; Davis, Long, Cedric, Fonte, Bertrand, Forster ... Those are 5 key players. We looked nice in the first half yesterday, 2nd half not so good after all the changes (inevitable), but at least it gives Puel a chance to see who could possibly make the step up, if anyone. I think we'll miss Mane the most out of the players we've sold. But Redmond is looking like a great buy.

Agree, I actually can't see the U21 teams getting past the 'groups' if they're still doing that. L2 and a lot of L1 still have some traditional cloggers in their teams who'll just kick the sh*t out of the kids who will then be too afraid to get stuck in. And also agree that no one from a proper club (i.e. Colchester in your example) is going to take the trip down to St Marys to see our U21s play their first team. In fact, some clubs may not bother with a first team and play their own reserves ... ? Most people just won't be able to justify the extra expense for this travel.
