  1. A couple of analysts have also left over the last six months.
  2. Why not and let the players coach themselves and save another wage.
  3. If he’s pot-less and relies on money generated by the club, why is he wasting it on terrible and relative expensive transfers? All he has for his money is the club so he needs to make it worth more to get any profit. Better to focus on infrastructure and coaching as that has a better ROI than speculating on £15-£20m players with what seems limited background checks. Especially as there are players with lower transfer fees that have similar potential.
  4. The new approach as the moderately expensive players haven’t worked out and there is no way the club will spend more. Not long before we know... seven days or less [emoji2957]
  5. 5% interest.
  6. Midfield runner not being picked up.
  7. Can you imagine the impact of one, Ralph resigning (not being sacked) and two, having Kelvin or someone similar in charge [emoji38]
  8. I’m sure the lads could make it two matches!
  9. Why not? New game, encouragement would be the best response followed by deprecating/gallows humour if it turns into Friday the second. If they do put in a good response that is something to cheer.
  10. We used to be good at prioritising the coaching and recruitment so we could compete above our means. Unless we get back to that, it’ll be relegation. Does Ralph have a good plan on how to play which the players buy into, or will there either be a compromise or a don’t pick me I can’t/will not play that way?
  11. I think that highlights the issue extremely well. For most of us £200k is a big deal, the players will not miss it from earning £50k a week. If they had donated a weeks worth I’d have been impressed. Also, I’m sure there are plenty of us that donate time and money to good causes, probably on a par to our own day’s wage in a year/season. I wonder if they are worried about more results like this happening? [emoji3064]
  12. Local teams don’t matter... it’s not GO DALLAS! But GO COWBOYS!! If football is your thing but think the top division has sold its soul, there are other local teams lower down the football pyramid that need you.
  13. I cannot wait for next week’s games!
  14. Full-time: Celtic 2-1 Lazio Christopher Jullien’s goal is the winner – but only after Fraser Forster makes a world-class stoppage-time save to deny Cataldi a scorching leveller.
  15. Unless we can shackle their midfield which has always been our issue. Also their full backs are playing extremely well, I’d place them in the top two of the league and need to be engaged by our inside forwards using space between them and their centre backs. Our full backs can then push up to help the midfield.
  16. Any win is good! Unless you mean it keeps Jackett in a job and baying pack at bay. Lincoln are struggling with one win in 11 so it wasn’t unexpected.
  17. “What do you want me to do, throw myself off a 20-storey building? If they said me going would make the team win, I would be gone in a minute,” manager Mauricio Pellegrino said after his Leganés team lost the derby against Getafe, leaving them stuck on the bottom of the table without a win all season and him on the edge.
  18. Wow! Is that two seasons worth of transfer budget blown on one player, and not a very good one at that. He’s a league one/two clogger.
  19. It’s ok, his money is safe now and even a deal will not hinder the investment returning a good wedge.
  20. Brentford seem to do ok on a small budget. I think it shows if the scouting process is good, players can be found that don’t take tens of millions to buy.
  21. Not sure where this goes, a search didn’t help! Article on the youngster Harley Willard who Saints let go after his first contract... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/oct/08/harley-willard-next-generation-guardian-southampton-iceland Surprised there was no support from the club, or at least none stated in the article. It seems the agent wasn’t great either!
  22. We’re only won 15 of our last 61 home leagues games. I wouldn’t like to guess how bad the goals for column would be either.
  23. The latest from RH on Che Adams: Ralph Hasenhuttl insists he has not lost faith in summer signing Che Adams, who he dropped for last week’s defeat at the hands of Tottenham. The striker, who was bought from Birmingham for a reported £15m, started each of Saints’ opening six Premier League games but has yet to score. “It was clear that I wanted to give him one time a rest,” said Hasenhuttl. “I think a break can sometimes help, even if you like him are always looking for scoring and it doesn’t work. “He showed this week that he is in better condition now, clearer in the mind and he can be an option for Sunday. It’s important that you stay on working and believe in yourself. I try to help him as much as I can - give him a lot of trust and still trust him. I’m sure that he will help us in the future and games will come that he will score.”
  24. It may not be easy for Chelsea but as you’ve highlighted we only got one point for our troubles against those three.
  25. It will continue to be so.
