  1. Reality
  2. Oh, I thought those were the two he named as having a good chance. The rest aren’t even close.
  3. it's fine margins though, the odd defensive mistake and not converting enough chances. It's a ****-er and you hope they are working on it mentally and technically to improve but it's blood-y annoying.
  4. I would say it's making sure the replacements are suitable so perhaps the effort or funds weren't there in the first place. The other aspect that concerns me is the mental frailty of the players. Totally different to last season. No point playing them if they are not up to it but would hope the club has someone looking after players mental health.
  5. Surely he knows how the club works - do your time, if you are a success, a move to a bigger club will be there.
  6. And that makes it even harder for the team... a downward spiral! They all need to get that fighting spirit back and work hard together. It was sad to see the midfield waltz around and miss crucial tackles, the defence make mistakes and the frontline miss chances.
  7. Exactly what I was thinking. Depends on whether he's had enough of sitting on the bench (or fighting for a starting position) with only 22 appearances over the passed two seasons (only 9 have been in the league) for Arsenal. He's 24 in the summer so I would have thought needs to have regular games.
  8. OK, perhaps I was being lazy using that phrase. Maybe best to use there are other teams that can make the money go further when competing for promotion or have less yearly expenditure commitments to meet.
  9. I'm sure they are the biggestest spenders in the division but I suspect- as no evidence has come to light- that they are still in budget. The fans share may well have been diluted a bit, to enable the HNWI to dip into their pockets and the Robinson/Tesco payoff may have been used to sustain the spend so it'll be interesting to see what happens to the budget next season if they cock up promotion. If promotion is gained, there will be plenty of other clubs that can match them in the spending and wages stakes so will they risk an overspend at that stage?
  10. list of all PL clubs for comparison:
  11. Agree. I would think the playoffs would be the worst for them having made so many changes, mostly good. if they do go up as expected, League One is a different and difficult challenge. So many 'big' clubs there now.
  12. I would imagine the club need to be seen to do as much as possible. The next incident may come with a fine from the FA.
  13. By carrying on as normal, attending matches and not giving ISIL any more attention seeking stories would also be symbolic and show the terrorists we are not intimidated. We have enough reaction from the government and the FA did a nice show of unity for the sport on Tuesday night.
  14. Plays CF or wing. Turns seventeen in February, and has netted 14 goals for the Under-18s side this season, including six in the FA Youth Cup.
  15. Strengthen
  16. It's been a while since my last comment on here, so want to say it's still as good as ever.
  17. Yes, I think the only thing that can scupper a deal for Mane is that if we get Euro football and the deal isn't acceptable for the club (£30m minimum at a guess). Another factor is the how long Mane's contract has got to run - do you know?
  18. I would have thought Wanyama as the only definite. Mane probable, Pelle possible for next summer's exodus.
  19. Excellent news... got a feeling this kid is going to make it.
  20. That would be great. Thanks.
  21. I hope he can find the betting slip. I wonder what the odds would have been?
  22. Go on then, as long as I can have the bag on Sunday and Wednesday.
  23. I like what David has put in trying to turn it into something you want to do, otherwise maybe use the suitability versus eligibility angle to persuade them it's not for you but can see their reasoning.
