  1. Cunning by Krueger. When we're all screaming "Ralph out!" & "Ralph's a w4nker!", he can just fire Hassenhuttl...
  2. Although the Echo say we hope to have the new man (Flores?) in before Cardiff.
  3. This. Totally.
  4. Happy memories, for us, shared by the Beeb! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46393009 I'll go 3-1 Saints again...
  5. We are Southampton, we can't win at home!
  6. At least under Branfoot we had Matt and, for a season, Shearer. There was also the comedy value of the violence we had in Ruddock, Hurlock, Horne, Dowie, Adams & co.
  7. Might as well be honest. It's what the rest of us can see.
  8. I used to love football at the weekend. The excitement, goals and entertainment. I knew we wouldn't win every week but that didn't matter - it was all about following my team and hoping to cheer us on to a victory, no matter who we faced. This current shower has had me genuinely dreading matches for the past 2 years. Heartless, soulless, passionless (and dare I say talentless) drivel week after week. The feeling right through the club epitomised in pathetic on-field performances. We could go 4-0 up and I wouldn't expect us to hang on. I genuinely believe I feel lower about us now than the days of Branfoot or nearly going bust as Wilde, Crouch and Lowe jockeyed for position. Shameful.
  9. Won't happen. He's Portuguese and we're not called Wolves.
  10. Martin Caceres looking good again for Uruguay against Brazil at the Emirates. Shame he was never really given a go.
  11. The Echo suggest we're one of the ones not keen to make the payment. If so, well done us!
  12. With no Les, I guess Ralph will be holding the fort for the timebeing until Webber, or someone else, is appointed. In the meantime, check out the lady in the red coat in this photo from the Echo today - isn't this the look we all have when Ralph has spoken???
  13. Might be due to this... https://www.101greatgoals.com/news/football-fans-duped-by-fake-leonardo-jardim-southampton-interview-leak/amp/
  14. Linked with Man Yoo in the Metro this morning. Would guess they'd edge us out in a race for his signature without Les Reed here to close the deal.
  15. This arrived through the door at the same time as the announcement. Great news. NOW, we march on..!
  16. Other than the financial side of things, do you know if does he actually care about the appalling playing side of the club and the misguided belief of those managing that side of the business they know what they're doing? I accept you may turn round and say this is a purely financial exercise for him (so the only interest for him is that the better we do, the more cash we should generate) but it would at least be something to get a sense that the current slew of embarrassing performances (particularly at St Mary's) are of vague concern to him.
  17. Just switched my son's u18 ticket, as he can't now go, for an u11 ticket for my daughter getting £8 back. Somehow feel this is the only "win" I'll be celebrating come 5pm on Saturday, unfortunately. :-/
  18. We scored a goal!!!
  19. Do either of them go to games any more?
  20. He doesn't seem to be alone either. This (non-Saints related story) from the Beeb today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-45823650 Having watched my mother die of cancer in 2 1/2 months from diagnosis to death, I'm absolutely stunned & disgusted anyone would do this.
  21. Surprised it wasn't a shot from Shane Long TBH.
  22. We need proven Premier League defenders IMO. Sadly, we will never see the likes of Andreas Jakobsson & Calum Davenport again though.
  23. Minutes of the first meeting have now been posted on the OS. Pretty good turn out from the club and seemed a genuine willingness to listen: https://southamptonfc.com/supporter-services/saints-voice/meeting-minutes
  24. I asked this at the Saints Voice panel meeting, with the club, back in Sept. This was the reply from Toby Steele, the MD, where he: "accepted that our form last season stalled the communication of these pledges and there was a strong focus on the pitch. These will now be interwoven within the Club strategy, which will be communicated to fans."
