Heard today that one of their fans, who is banned from Fratton, spent most of his Thursday wandering around Southampton filming Inter Ultras in the hope they would give some of our lads a run around so he could put it on youtube. All that happened was he spent most of the day near Yates, then hung around outside St Mary's during the game before following their fans back into town where they failed to get into bars or pubs before splintering up. I hope he enjoyed himself.

I can forgive the odd stray pass and wonky shot because he gives so much to the team through work rate, positioning and body strength to gain possession. He's going to end up being a class player.

Personally I rate Alderweireld as slightly better, but Van Dijk is very, very good and I love watching him play.

They used to sing songs about us when we were in League 1 and they were in the Premier League. No difference. As for loving the attention, well I didn't enjoy them rubbing our noses in it then which presumably was the intention. The Pompey fans I know are deep down jealous of our success and aren't sat at home watching our games and getting excited because they are being mentioned on TV. I'm glad we have a massive rivalry with them. Being a team like Bournemouth and having to invent one would be utterly desperate. Liverpool fans dont sing about Everton much because they aren't their main rivals, but they certainly sing about Man Utd. So much so that there was a big media campaign before their last match to try and stop both of them chanting about deaths on the other side. Most, if not all away fans visiting St Mary's would know we hate Pompey. Just like ours would travel to St Andrews knowing Birmingham hate Villa, or turn up at Oxford and be aware they hate Swindon.

Inter are 4/1 so stick a few quid on them then.

Claise is OK but Hojbjerg has so much more about him. Can do what Claise does and then some. Better strength, tackling and far better at driving forward. If you had to pick our strongest eleven he'd always be in it but with the number of games I can understand the plan.

Pretty much every stadium has a stand or 2 that never sing, we're hardly unique in that respect.

Boufal played 90 minutes on Wednesday after being out for 5 months. He's hardly going to start the next gamr. Personally I'd start Hojbjerg at every opportunity because I really rate him although I see why he was rested because he also played 90 in the cup and will start on Thursday.
