Can we PAY Arsenal/Tottenham to take Wanyama away from us?
VectisSaint replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
Can we rely on the talented Mr Stuart "one-goal" Ripley helping us out though? -
Its 10 actually, including the Cup, according to the OS. Good job there is no relegation. Still ManU are even worse.
-
So, as I said his recovery has taken 3-4 weeks longer than expected when the operation was originally planned in November.
-
Any team that can't shoot?
-
No Clasie or Romeu either, which leaves our MF a bit thin. Not to worry though, this is not the final pre-match session which is usually featured by the OS before a game. We don't play until Tuesday.
-
Yes, he has because he's played more often than not at RB. The same problem as when he first joined, he was awful at RB, and blinkered people stuck with that view for years (still do). He is ****ing awful at RB, no two ways about it.
-
No he isn't. He's a liability when played at RB. That is all. He is a perfectly adequate backup CB.
-
You would more likely have heard Spurs singing it at White Hart Lane, unsurprisingly.
-
Surely about the one thing we don't need to do is replace Yoshida. He is already the more than competent backup for the left sided CB, either in a 4 or a 3. We also have Gardos for the right side, once he is fit again. With Stephens and Turnbull coming through as well, the CB position with Bertrand showing he is well capable of playing on left of a 3 is the one area where additions and not only not needed but highly unlikely. Just so long as we get proper backup for Cedric, so that there is never ever a reason for Ronald to play Yoshida at RB again, we do not need to replace Yoshida. Besides how can you replace the irreplaceable?
-
Spurs have been singing it since time immemoriam certainly used to sing it when I first started supporting Saints in the mid 60s. Really don't know what the issue is. Its not "our" song, its an American jazz "hymn", which we nicked from the US of A.
-
I think its embarrassing that we sing an American song, we don't want people to think we play soccerball do we? We should revert to the "Bells of St Marys". If other teams "fans" stole that there would be hell to pay.
-
Wonder why he has not been able to use Twitter. Was he banned from using it by the Club while he recovered again? Looks like his recovery is taking a bit longer than expected, Ronald originally thought mid to end January he would be back.
-
Apart from Cedric being out from Dec 22nd to Jan 8th due to groin injury. The latest that I know of. Groin injuries just became less of an issue when Lallana slung his hook didn't they? Pity our "pioneering medics" were not able to help resolve the after effects of Gaston's long term dead leg issue. Still well done to the Medics.

Oh no he didn't http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35408240

I did say I have never been there. Drove past (nearly) yesterday. I'm sure it is a fine place to live. Probably better than Middlesbro.
-
3 is for violent conduct only. 2 for offensive behavior. Othrr offences are 1. 2 yellows is also 1. Wanyama got 2 matches because it was his second red of the season.

Is losing to Saints really the last straw for Louis van Gaal ?
VectisSaint replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
It may have happened in the past but really there is nothing to suggest that losing to Saints is the last straw. Its simply that the Utd fans are fed up with the awful performances, 0 first half goals, worst team in PL history based on points after 23 games. No signs of improvement and boring football. -
Stiffness? Not usually a problem is it?
-
I was thinking whether Sepp Blatter might think it was good idea for the womens game but thought I'd better keep it to myself otherwise I might get called sexist.
-
Never usef to be a problem when we played skins v shirts. Most players already wear skin tight garments under their shirts, pretty obvious when Charlie came on yesterday. The long sleeved green vest was a very different colour to his short sleeved shirt. Seems such an obvious thing to do.
-
Shame, its better when old slowcoach plays
-
It doesn't always indicate anything but its lets say unusual when a player is obviously missing in these pictures and videos that the club deliberately put out there. I never heard anyone say what was wrong, did anyone ask Ronald in the pre-match build up? He did get clattered in the Watford game but looked ok against WBA and was training on Monday with Charlie. Would like him to be back for Arsenal.
-
Don't know why players don't adopt the skin tight shirts. Most of them wear them underneath anyway.
-
Different formation as you say, Long playing, Forster back, Charlie signing and Pelle nowhere to be seen. Not sure what's changed?
