  1. How can you lump Lambert in with that description? One of the only England players who plays with passion! I am as disappointed as everyone else to see Rickie go (my little girl (2 1/2) loves the Ricky Lambert song for example), but the guy is an absolute hero. Even if he scored a hat-trick next season against us, I would still stand and applaud him. Football can be too tribal at times, there are some occasions when you need to stand back and support the player, no matter who is plays for.....I would draw the line at the Skates though
  2. RICKY LAMBERT I STILL LOVE YOU!
  3. Before we all start to write off the England team it's important to remember that this is hardly the team that will line up against Italy. The way Wilshere is playing AL is a shoe in. Everything Lallana has worked on, JW seems to be lacking in...Pace, Power, Strength and the little trick up his sleeve. Rickie is actually playing his role perfectly...I would love to see them play him up front with Sturridge. Just seems the obvious partnership. I would drop Rooney and play Sterling or Barkley (who although a little greedy, is at least trying to change things up.) My starting line up for Manaus would be: Hart Johnson (because we don't have anyone else) Cahill Jagielka....Pray that neither of these gets injured Baines (Shaw is good enough) Gerrard (doing his Pirlo thing) Lallana Barkley Sterling (all three interchanging) Lambert (dropping deep Sturridge
  4. Hmmm....I maybe clutching at straws but that doesn't look real
  5. For Sir Ricky I am happy, his career will have gone full circle and would be the icing on the cake. For me though this would be worse than losing Lallana or Shaw. I wanted Ricky to retire with us, I wanted him to win a proper trophy with us. This whole thing is like a slow motion car crash, I am just clinging on to the hope that this is a Twitter wind up but I know in reality it is probably going to happen anyway. Gutted, just gutted
  6. Swindon Away in our first season in League One, dreadful! Before we managed to totally clear all the deadwood and not having any options on the bench... Absolute highlight for me as the Coventry game. Don't think I have cried so much at a sporting event! (I know I'm a big girl). Just a wonderful moment and for someone not old enough for 76, probably the greatest moment as a Saints fan.
  7. Gallagher! Phew..........never in doubt!
  8. I am an idiot and managed to book a holiday on the day of the JPT final back in 2010. I also have managed to book a holiday the weekend of the FA Cup Final. Therefore we will win it!
  9. If he did that, I think even the Pompey fans would be celebrating
  10. Not sure if posted already but Jordan Sibley just confirmed that business done for the window....
  11. If Osvaldo had been playing well, scoring goals etc etc the situation with Fonte would probably have been handled differently, it may not have arisen at all. I am convinced that we will be getting a striker in to replace him (if he does in fact go to Juve) and I also wouldn't be suprised if we saw another defender too, maybe Astori (although that could just be wishful thinking). The great thing is we just don't know, the club - despite the recent turmoil and changes in the boardroom - seems committed to the secrecy and tactics of keeping signings close to their chest, which I actually agree with.
  12. Jose FONTE BABY!!!!
  13. Can we work something in about her looking like Princess Fiona from Shrek?
  14. I am actually annoyed that I don't know more United fans....this is sooo much fun!
  15. Frustrating result, didn't do a lot wrong - apart from not taking chances when they came in the 1st half. Awful tackle by Brown on Gaston - and would like to see the Lovren incident again as I think Gardner may have stamped on his ankle...2 points dropped but after the week we have had not the worst result
  16. Ah well, fun while it lasted
  17. Saw them at LG in November ..... Awesome!
  18. Lambert brought on 73rd minute....scores winner 75th minute....National hero, goes to Brazil!
  19. In more positive news France are losing! LOL!
  20. Honestly don't know what game you are all watching, Lallana is looking very sharp - getting involved and trying to create something. Definately notice that Jay and Adam are playing the high pressing game, unfortunately the other players look like they can't be ar$ed
  21. JWP is going to be a massive massive player. Certainly think he will be replacing Gerrard/Lampard after Brazil. Best delivery of a dead ball in the country, works hard, tracks and tackles - one element he could add is the Gerrard lung busting box bursting but if half the team don't pass I suppose there is no point. I can honestly see Clyne, Shaw, JWP and Lallana as regulars in the England Squad very soon - plus all the others coming up through the ranks....just wow!
  22. These next 6 fixtures are very tough. But I am not too worried, I feel the team actually are confident of getting results at Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle. City look very beatable too. Imagine 10/11 points out of those fixtures...I'd actually start to worry that I was in a Coma....or dead!
  23. Disappointed with the result but can't fault the performance of majority of players. Gaston and Lee didn't really help their causes and I thought Rodriguez could have done better, but good to see Reed, Chambers and Gallagher get appearances and they all looked very assured and comfortable. Once I saw the team and, more importantly the bench, I did worry where the goals would come from - I suppose with Osvaldo coming back from injury it would have been a little risky to stick him in (if fit). I get the feeling that if we had won tonight we would have seen a stronger side v Chelsea, but realistically when you look at the remaining teams in the competition we would have done well to have won it anyway! On to Hull, who I think may be tricky - it really depends on how Steve Bruce sets the team out, if they come to play I fancy a 2 nil win again.
  24. http://m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/4154806# Not sure if this has been shared yet, but I am concerned that the Blue few have infiltrated our fair city
  25. In my defence, Alex Jones! Hysterically funny that the Skates got waterlogged, although does the yellow card for Bradley still count? Genuine question
