On whats its worth I thought he looked good years ago at Monchengladbach and just looked him up and surprised his career kinda stalled. Well loans are good for getting younger players experience. It's a risk bit at the end of the day if he flops we can just give him back. If he excels then we get the best of him for a season. Thought I read he turned down a hefty wedge at the hammers. Wouldn't come cheap in a weekly wage sense but no transfer fee would cover that. Bolton used to do that well back when they had okocha etc....no transfer fee but highish wages. Green would be a decent signing makes a few errors but tell me one keeper that doesn't. We must have a decent transfer fund, 7m on an striker who hasn't played top flight football is a hell of a risk if its a large potion of the fund. Yeah we know he is decent in the championship, but if he flops its a large amount of money to be invested on one position if other postions need strengthening too.
