HR has said on Sky Football Text that he is depsrate to get back and it wil be in England. We are mentioned but not by him as one of his previous clubs and that he is missing being involved in the game. He says: 'I've managed good players at Tottenham, Portsmouth and West Ham. Honestly I enjoy working with good players to be honest with you when you've been working with top players it's very difficult to work with inferior players if you like. I think I'm capable of managing at the very top so well wee what comes up'.. . . . . . .read into that what you like but it says to me what he thinks of us and our current squad.

It's actually closer to Manchester! -
Thanks everyone. I'm trying on an iPad so that may be the problem. Will try on another machine.

Anyone had any problems with it? I am trying to buy a ticket for Wigan but after logging in I a Can only get as far as selecting the game, then it takes me to a view of the stadium but no option to request what seat I want. Anyone got any ideas?

On the subject of apps what about an iPad app for this forum and is there one for the new web site?

No I'm not inviting you round for dinner! I am just watching a recorded episode of one involving Neil Ruddock, John Fashanu, Frank Worthington and Carlton Palmer. Great to see the three ex Saints who apart from Razor still look in pretty good nick. Always remember that one season Frank had with us where he only scored 4 goals (including one in the 8 - 2 victory over Coventry) and we finished second being knocked out by Everton in the cup semi at Highbury.....still haunts me! 1984 was it?

According to Sky he will sign within next 48 hours

And Lowe got £100,000 bonus for delivering the stadium. For the first time ever I can say I am def ITK on that !

Thanks. Anyone know how I can contact Steve Grant?

I have been contacted by the manager of the Arsenal Supporters Team with a view to playing against our fans when we meet over the New Year period. Is there anyone out there that knows if we have a team? I am sure we have and said I will get back to him. thanks. Simon

We cocked it up. We are bottlers that don't do big games. The ref made one poor decision, our side made many. They need to be more professional and get on with the game. This side needs major surgery and if we end up in the play offs we will bottle it.

The only miscarriages of justice are those that are aquitted.

I was at Gresty Road watching Crewe v Swindon. My mate Fat Al was texting me and I went mad when we scored - they all thought I was weird! PS Lee Holmes looked good when he came on for Swindon!!

Clearly you're a rocket scientist or maybe just one of the reasons society is as it is?

I kind of feel sorry for Dan because he had a real shot to become a first team regular in a top championship team taken away from him, I'm not sure he's ever going to get that back again........................... [/b]Not sure I agree with it being taken away from him. He got himself involved in something he shouldn't have done and faced the potential consequences. I don't know him and I wish him the best but when are these well paid young men going to wake up and start living the lives they should be living?

Cheers for that. Wowuld have mised it othrwise. Who was our number 7? Looked tasty - what happened to him? -
Glad you posted this as I was about to. There is clearly an issue. I have said before and I don't claim to be an ITK'er but I do living in Cheshire have some background on Fox through another party. If you look at his record he is a young man who finds it hard to settle anywhere. He is known to be a home bird and is regularly in Winsford (where he is from). He went to Celtic and could not settle and moved South, living at home whilst at Burnley. I don't think he wil stay long and in all honesty don't know why we signed him. On the flip side he is good mates with Maynard who is also from Winsford............................

Met Cassels when he was training to be a police officer in 1989. Great bloke and was well impresed when I told him I saw him score for Saints. He was wearing a Mansfield tracksuit at the time we met and still had that iconic hairstyle of his.

ricky lambert is he good enough for the prem ?
bangkoksaint replied to killer fan's topic in The Saints
It is amazing how fit and athletic we have got our players and Lambert is a classic example. Look at his picture on Wicki and see him from his BR days..........he looks a right pudding. It is his dedication as well that has acheived this and for that reason I think he will step up to the plate again when we get to the Prem and get even fitter. He is more than capable -
having been at the game yesterday I thought the ref was okay. He let a lot go but for both sides. He seemed to embrace the fact football is a physical game and let them get on with it.

I used to referee and to a reasonable standard. The lack of knowledge of some supporters used to astound me but when I have my Saints hat on biting my lip is somewhat difficult at times. There is a fundamental problem in football and in society in general - authorititive figures are abused and there is little respect. A similar vein was mentioned on the Seaborne thread and could have a thread in its own right. Football has to start to realise that if the respect disappears and referees continually get the abuse they do then it will deminish the amount of referees coming through the system and the potential pool from which they can be chosen will be smaller. As for Saturday I was not there but I know the the referee was Ian Williamson. I don't know Ian but I used to know his dad quite well and I remember discussing games with him where Ian had what I thought was a poor game. He has been at this level for a while now and never made it to the promised land of the Premiership so maybe this is his level. I don't know if he was poor on Saturday but one thing is for sure - I'm sure he gave an honest performance even if some of you thought it was a poor one. Maybe just maybe if we laid off referees a bit more performances may improve.
