Probably should have been a draw, just about. Marginal decisions, fine margins during the game. Neither team were notably impressive and like someone said, a lot of huff and puff but not much in terms of quality. Having said that, if anyone was going to edge it it was Villa, who just have that momentum and that little bit more quality in their side. Certainly not a performance to ring alarm bells like Forest etc, but an annoying opportunity missed to close the gap.

I’ve not seen one video yet where I’ve been unimpressed with Jackson. Pace, power, skill and finishing. You’d have to be as thick as mince to write him off. Oh. I remember, I’m on SW. Thick as mince it is.

Same could be said about the Forest loss, everyone was a bedwetter. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think the reason why both results gain so much emotional reaction is that they were massive games.

Not gonna lie, having a sneak peak at Grand Old Team. It is fantastic stuff.

I think we underestimate how much of a sh1t show we actually were and still are as Ralph kept us afloat quite comfortably… until he tired of it all and ran out off puff. It masked a lot of the issues but behind all the fluff, we were slowly rotting from the inside out. The mismanagement, poor recruitment and iffy investment over the past 6 years finally came to a head when a manager no one wanted or respected was appointed and we lost our first 4 games, including the biggie v Forest. I’ve actually no doubt Jones probably came and saw some of the players and thought he had some better players at Luton on first impressions. I think the one thing I’m enjoying more now is the step up in aggression. We’ve been too nice, for too long and it just doesn’t do anyone any favours in competitive sport. I think there’s going to be a few more ups and downs but I’m confident NJ is getting his style across now and ultimately, the confidence levels up.

He doesn’t do teamtalks either. For a guy who is a motormouth, he just stands there frozen on the spot and let’s JWP do it. Allegedly. our fanbase is genuinely bitter and backward, mentally.

I would never, ever, ever listen to our fans. Ever. And I don’t think Jones did, either.

Yep, like proper man-babies. As I said earlier in the week, god forbid some of these people have to have difficult conversations or moments with people or deal with tough situations in real life. I mean, throwing a wobbler like a child and getting quite personal with the insults at someone who, whether they like it or not, is only trying their best is not constructive or conducive to creating a positive or supportive atmosphere. We’re still in the formative weeks of Jones’ tenure and like many, I am cautiously skeptical but it’ll only go one way if you feed the negativity and toxicity. This is a time to be constructive, fair and rational - not the time to lose your shi7 because you don’t like the appointment or you get a bit of stick back from a man who quite frankly, is entitled to give a bit of stick back after the pelters he received for something he’s barely culpable for. A couple of shocking displays yes, 6 years of stagnation, poor recruitment and pi55taking players, no.
