  1. We're still in with a shout, 330-350 might just be 'par' on this pitch - and the surface is deteriorating. Swann's performance with the ball could be pivotal. Hopefully Broad can come in tomorrow and smack it around a bit, then we can have a right go at the Aussies straight after. Think there is definitely going to be twists and turns quite literally in this deciding test...
  2. I'm sure he was on the bench for Millwall :-o waaaaay too close to the Saints 1st team for my liking... !
  3. OK OK, who the feck was on ten grand a week? What am I missing here? Davies? Pulis? Forecast? Whats going on!?!?! I smell something fishy... and this time, it's not coming from the contents of Paul Hart's dressing room..
  4. I think this boy will shock a few of you. in a good way.
  5. Lee Holmes is a class act and definitely has the potential to play in the Premier League. However, he's had a bad time of it and Im' not even sure if he's fit enough yet. But when he is, oh yes, get him in at left wing. Always liked Darren Currie, though he is getting on a bit now. Still, he's one of those timeless, leagueless players - he can probably still do it, like Holmes, in any league. He's another left winger. Andy Robinson, Leeds - excellent right winger: tricky, combative and has an excellent shot. I would imagine he won't be going anywhere though. Arron Davies, Notts Forest - goalscorer, pacey, tricky, out of favour at Forest. Ex-Saint who has so far semi-fulfilled his potential. Was excellent for Yeovil, if anyone remembers? Others worth mentioning: David Martin (Millwall), Cleveland Taylor (Brentford), Jimmy Smith (L Orient), Gary Roberts (Huddersfield), Simon Whaley (now Norwich though :-(), Stuart Green and Matt Phillips (Wycombe), Jason Puncheon (Plymouth, now MK), Albert Adomoah (Barnet), Jeff Smith (Darlington), Le Fondre (can play ST too, Rochdale) .... And whatever happened to Andy Welsh, ex-Sunderland winger? Always thought he looked quite useful.
  6. Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, fishy fingers...
  7. Spot on. I fear its those roll yer sleeves up characters we're so desperately missing though
  8. Er, 5 years? Better check your facts. Agree with the Pardew sentiment though.
  9. Er, don't think its totally his fault. Granted, he's playing some turd players but he hasn't got alot to work with...
  10. No worries. I'm a bit drippy - I've just completely contradicted myself. Loyal, but dumb I suppose... like a dog - that'd probably be a better description of some fans. The team, worryingly, are not loyal but incredibly dumb it would appear. :-o
  11. Definitely a time for the "You're not fit to wear the shirt" chant.
  12. Think you've got that wrong. Saints fans are, in general are a bit drippy, let's be honest. Not all, but many. I just find it amusing how the team is now spazzing out completely and almost mirroring our fans. Having said that, can't knock our following...
  13. same ****, different season eh?
  14. Saints = a retarded team for a retarded group of fans.
  15. anywhere I can listen to this? Out of the country atm ... :-( Or shall I just stump up for the Saints player???
  16. Would have actually preferred Johnnie Jackson HOWEVER Dean Hammond... good signing, very good signing.
  17. LOL, this just gets better and better and better and better. LMFAO
  18. LMFAO LMFAO, this just gets better and better. Even if Liebherr did owe the Dr some money (which is beyond the realms of Fantasy), I love the fact that we are now playing such a significant role in your pathetic demise. I actually liked Portsmouth once upon a time, but the fans are now turning me completely the other way... what a bunch of absolute planks.
  19. Yes, I too would love to know who they have lined up? We've seen Moses Ashikodi and Eugene LOL Bopp, who else is Paul Hart scraping out of the barrel? Jermaine Wright perhaps? Shame Trevor Benjamin has found yet another club recently.
  20. I concur.
  21. X-O-D-U-S... etc etc to the tune of D-I-S-C-O
  22. That is wonderful news, thank you.
