  1. I take it that this must be a 5-a-side tournament. For kids.
  2. Bugger, if they win they will be a point ahead of us. Not fair that they are allowed to play more games than us.
  3. Very likely, but not immediately*. Chinny will find a way to keep the rotten, festering, foul, disgusting corpse on life support long enough to grab as much of the remaining parachute payments as possible. *Unless he can convince the PL/FL to hand them over early in exchange for, say, a 500 point penalty and demotion 7 divisions.
  4. From what NC said some time back, I thought Markus took over Saints despite Fry and Begbies, not because of them.
  5. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/birch-vows-appy-s-staying-at-pompey-1-3791838 And despite the vast majority of the Blues’ playing squad being expected to be sold this summer to ease the financial crisis, Birch promised cashing in on a manager who still has three years left on his contract is one deal he does not intend to make. Birch said: ‘We want Michael here, absolutely. Hopefully, Michael is here for the long term. ‘I met with him yesterday morning and there was nothing mentioned about West Brom. As far as I’m concerned, Michael will be staying as Portsmouth manager. ‘There has been no approach and we wouldn’t welcome one. He is the future of the club. The future of Portsmouth is in the hands of Michael.’ Nice one Trevor! Just like when we conned Scotland into taking the drunken Scot, you are trying to extract as much compensation as possible from a turd. But unlike the Scottish FA, I doubt We're Bottom Again are that stupid to think you are concerned about the "long term future of the club", and to pay more than a pittance in compensation. How long before Chinny can get his hands on the last remaining parachute payment? Too long for the phew, I'm afraid. Because that's how long they are going to suffer the humiliation of their cesspit of a club being kept on life support, as it plummets down the divisions. Anything worth of value is going to be flogged off, leaving the likes of the legendary Tal Ben Haim and some kids to hold the fort. In a year or two they'll be praying for liquidation.
  6. Disagree. They've spent huge, more than they can possibly afford, in a desperate gamble to go up. They don't deserve to go up.
  7. And there I was thinking the relegation spots in L1 had been done and dusted. But now the teams at the bottom of that league should now be thanking the Cheats for bringing their season back to life!
  8. I certainly hope Norwich don't ever get relegated. Because whenever they do, we tend to go down with them.
  9. Our Tommy, maybe?
  10. Yes but it saved them losing 6 valuable points. So instead of finishing 3rd on 86 points they would only have finished 3rd on 80 points. £700000 well spent, I would say.
  11. That is quite beautiful. I can almost forgive you for that 17th nonsense.
  12. And the final score is ..... 48 points above the Cheats And another fun figure ... 2 divisions above them (if they don't get liquidated first). Bye bye you DFCSBs WTFILN!!!!
  13. Can I relax now?
  14. And so the climax of the season approaches, and Nige is making sure our players have the appropriate levels of arousal. Hopefully we can celebrate promotion and an exciting future, after being in the top 2 all season. Sadly, for the phew, it will be "If only we hadn't been unfairly docked 10 points!" That penalty has officially relegated them: they would've stayed up with those extra 10 points, and instead four other teams (Peterborough, Bristol C., Forest and Barnsley) would be fighting to avoid going down with Coventry and Donny. COYR! FOP!
  15. Plan A: Win Plan B: Draw, and pray West Ham don't win by enough to leapfrog us. Plan C: Lose, and pray West ham don't win.
  16. Which law states it's illegal to offer a bonus for winning? Throwing a game, yes, but winning?
  17. What odds are they offering on Saints failing to go up?
  18. Maybe, maybe not. They are desperate for promotion. It is promotion or bust, and they have already paid money to ensure Cheats FC don't go bust until the season ends. Why not offer a big bonus to Coventry? The worst that would happen is that they wouldn't have to pay. But at least it would give Coventry something to play for, and potentially would reap dividends (£90 million to be precise) if it works. Even if the odds are 100-1 of it making a difference, why not try? I can't see it being illegal: they are offering money for a team to do their best. Not the same as (for example) offering Brighton money to lose by 6, which indeed would be "Go to Jail, do not go past Go". (Hypothetically, of course )
  19. Just had a worrying thought. For WHam it's promotion or bust this year. They've already given Cheats FC enough money to continue to the end of the season (thereby not losing the 6 points they got against them). So I wouldn't be surprised if they've offered Coventry a huge bonus (in the millions) for getting the positive result against us tomorrow that helps them (WHam) leapfrog us. Dodgy but legal, and probably wouldn't work, but food for thought.

  21. It could be worse! 5-5 means WHam would have to win by 4. P.S. SISU out!!!!
  22. I think this sums it up .. It's what I predicted ages ago. Plan A: gamble on promotion to the PL. If that fails, Plan B: cut to the bone, play the kids, keep the rotten corpse on life support just long enough until the last parachute payment has been extracted. And I doubt Chinny is very concerned about any future points penalties (unless he thinks he can find another idiot to keep the club running with filthy money).
  23. Good point. They'll need a rest before the playoffs.
  24. You mean as much as Cheats FC have been paying Tal Ben Haim?
